Works even better if you connect some small compressors. For example borrow one of your friend. Just try to synchronize the pressure switches.
Good video😊
The man out here doing the Laaaawd’s work answering questions. All I have is a 6 gallon and I neither have the time to get one or the space and funds. This is exactly what I was hoping to find because I have a few Harley parts (tanks/fenders) sitting in my make-shift pop-up tent paint booth 😅 #ghettosuperstar
How does this stack up to those electric “hairdryer” style paint guns from Wagner etc?

Did you mess with the tip
👍
👍🏻💥 How did you Doris come out? What did you have to do? I'm getting ready to spray my kitchen cabinet doors, Using kills original primer, Is dinner oil base enamel, It's going to take a lot of testing. I look forward to hear from you bye for now, Ken
I'm using a Jarbor F 3:58 reight spray gun, I'm gonna use kills original, This is oil base.I'm not sure if it can be thin the same,? Guess it's gonna be a lot of testing. Thanks for sharing. My channel has lots of tile videos with working et cetera. Hope to see you there
Use to paint urethane on cars, the guy that taught me said get it to about the consistency of milk. I think yours is about the same.
I have Rigid and was going to get a min lvlp
Great video. I am spraying cabinets doors for my RV reno. Using HVLP gun.
Great refresher on what right looks like. Thanks for taking the time to put this together & especially for staying on point.
Good video. Question; why wouldn't you mix the paint before you pour it into the other bucket?

Beat a pancake. Be a man
Looks like most of this stuff came from Menards
I'm surprised you don't measure the water you're using. It seems that a lot of the new hybrid primer and paints only recommend diluting with 8-10 oz of water per gallon, max. Some don't advise any solution. I recently sprayed 80 cabinet doors with Smart Prime after diluting by 20% water in order to run through my HVLP and now I'm having adhesion issues. Seems like these new hybrids require airless sprayers instead of HVLP.
I have the same air compressor, I was wondering if works lol, you proved my point. Now I just need the gun
Should I filter the paint before I thin it??
Brilliant video Thanks for sharing :-D How did you hang those from the ceiling?
I would like to invite you to be a consultant for our household HVLP spray gun project. If you are interested, please contact me.
It would be nice to know what size tip you have on the spray gun and, what air pressure you are spraying with.
Not too much, very precise
Thanks for showing us how it’s done & especially for the links. One stop shop, so to speak. Much appreciated.
Very helpful, thanks for being straight forward
Never heard of adding water.. always heard acetone.
Or thinners..
Word! Thanks
Great video
Yup works just fine, I've got "that" Bostitch pancake compressor and for a diy'er it's fine, just spray for a bit then stop, spray then stop... can't paint a car or anything but it does furniture and stuff well
Most of us here are home use people anyways, the pros already know what they need. So thanks the video, we really appreciate the advice.
You need a viscosity cup. Eyeballing how it runs off a paint stick is ridiculous.
old painter here I have one of the old tube scoop measurers from sears from years ago, scoop out the diluted paint and time the emptying of the tube scoop, old guys rock
Wonderful video. Thank you
thank you, perfect no bs vid reinforcing what i was going to need to do for the project i'm working on.
I have a 8 gallon 150psi kobalt air compressor i bought from Lowe’s. Mind you I don’t know jack squat about painting but I’ve spent the last few days on RUclips wanting to learn to spray paint my 16ft utility trailer (open), I’ve already sanded to bare metal and wondering if that compressor I have will do the job, opinión please? TYIA
Any one have any experience with a Milwaukee 2 gallon compressor and if so what's the optimal setting? Mainly using it for staining and paint/prime small jobs like baseboard/trims and maybe a door max. Small repair jobs. I know it's not ideal but I don't do it often so for me waiting for compressor to refresh is not that big of a deal. I've done texture wall repairs with this compressor and that has worked well for me just not paint. Likely would have to get lvlp instead of hvlp but curious what others have used. As for spray guns what do u recommend? Consensus seems to be aeropro and spray it but honestly a cheap Harbor Freight might do the job. Cheap enough where u could just toss but ok paying more. Ideally I would like to get the Graco quickshot but for the amount of usage I get it's way overkill.
Did that tape last?
Alright all you haters where not restoring a Picaso painting here he was just showing how to use HLVP gun to spray latex paint don’t have a Biden tantrum it’s alright I’ve did it works well
Thank you bro
You should have mixed the paint before you poured some into the empty can.
Why would you not mix before you then to make sure you get all of what's in the paint to paint with !
Most latex house paints aren’t made to be thinned this much and aren’t intended to be sprayed through automotive style spray guns. Do yourself a favor and buy or rent an airless sprayer if you want to spray primers and paints intended for a house. HVLP guns are designed for auto primers and paints and they are a different animal entirely.
They actually make waterborne lacquers and paints designed for this application due to the demand for the most durable finish without all the harmful fumes. I have experimented thinning all types of paint to spray and almost always revert back to a basic rule. Use the right tool for the job so you only have to do it once. The video was great but it is better to use measuring containers in the process so you don't go past the manufacturer recommended thinning ratios for that particular project. Other than that i used this video to help me judge consistency. Ty!
No sir I will not call you an idiot. You gave good information but the guy who drives the '94 celica, yes I will call him that.
wouldnt you want to mix the paint before you poured it out of the gallon? how many solids did you leave behind?
Oil and water?
what if we are using LVLP spray gun to spray paint car parts? it would make less stress on the conpressor right?
Your explanation of how to thin latex to the proper consistency for spraying is golden. Thank you!
Great video! I found it super helpful. Would Dewalt DWFP55126 (165 PSI, 2.5 SCFM@90, 6 gallon) enough for a small job?
