from the album 16 Biggest Hits none of this belongs to me
Whats crazy I just found out he was my great grandad brother
I always said if you listen to merle sing you can always hear lefty in his voice
Just reminds me how much modern country sucks.
My fav song all time.
Luke who ?
I first looked up Lefty watching The Hard Part Begins, a Canadian film about a country singer King who was influenced by Lefty at an early age
my late husband and lefty were first cousins, their moms were sisters... lots of talent in the cox and frizzell family. lefty was incredible, what a voice!!!!! i never tire of hearing his music. it brings backs memories of the music we loved together, of course i will always love traditional country music. it stirs your soul..
Another great miss his singing❤
Such a great singer.
Nobody ever sings like lefty
This voice changed country music. The best ever. These albums came out when I was a about 12 or so. Lefty I think had 2 albums in the early 70s. This particular song I think was his best ever. .
I heard a story about a conversation between Lefty and Hank Sr.. Hank told Lefty " we have to get you on the opry. Lefty said Hank I have the # 2.# 4 &# 6 songs on the charts so why do I need the Opry? Hank said Son you have a hell of a argument there.
Never will be replaced😅
Love this guy. He's country and I want it back. Lefty I hope you knew how wonderful you
Fantastic! The more I listen to his songs the more I realize what a true county legend he was!
Lefty. Was Right.
My dad played with him in Verona, Pennsylvania 1961. I was only 5, but I’ll never forget playing with my friends while they did music together. I have 6 boxes of pictures from back then that is hard to go through, and I know there is a picture of them. My dad played every instrument, but mainly his Mandolin, which I gave to one of my cousins so he’ll learn to play. Thanks for the wonderful memories ♥️
❤
Lefty, George & Merle & of course, Hank Sr
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
He is the best
How do you have 369 views and only 12 LIKES?
Lefty was absolutely the Best of the Country Tear jerkers. Wow a Great Voice.
You can definitely here his influence especially on Merle Haggard but George too
As Merle said "Lefty taught us all how to sing."
Travelling from California to kansas via the mother road rt 66 lefty on am radio...a memory that will never fade
With the insincerity and self-centered crap 💩 of today's artist's and music 🎶... they couldn't hold a candle to the traditionalists and true 👌 pioneers of country music 🎼...Lefty Frizzell is a prime example of many that had it... bring back traditional country it stands the test of time 💯👌 .
If there's a New Vegas 2, holy Christ in Gecko Jesus, I'd love to hear this in it.
What more need be said this is a great country song ❤❤❤❤❤
The 3 greatest country artist ever sing this song.R.I.P lefty Frizzell george Jones(a.k.a.) the possum and the great Keith whitley.
He was a great singing talent. So many wonderful songs from him. Shame he messed his life up so badly.
Out of all the country singers, i would have to rate Lefty at number 1 !!!!!!!
Merle is the best of all time , total package, lefty deserves lot of the credit , Merle loved Lefty !!!!!
listen to merle sing and you can hear lefty in his voice
Wonderful singing
Must agree with you all
I am shaking my head with a huge smile.. Lefty was one heck of a stylist. Just love this man's singing
i love his voice! Real country!!!
The countless nights of beer and lefty hank johnny horton george jones magnificent misery
Important,historical video.Nice work/Dale
Lefty was the prototype outlaw.
It is interesting they act like Lefty was washed up by the 70s. However," I Never Go around Mirrors "and "Thats the Way Love Goes" came out 73/74. In my opinion, 2 of his very best songs.
I used to play drums on this song
Hello how are you doing today..?😊
His voice is haunting
Hello how are you doing today..?😊
I never knew this wasn't a Keith Whitley original. Good to find the original. Love them both.
Elvis Presley demoted many a 50's country singer unintentionally. Comparable to Nirvana Pearl Jam Soundgarden vs Hair Metal.
Grew up listening to him
Hello how are you doing today…?😮
Lefty and Sanger (whitey) Schafer wrote this. And Whitey wrote the extra verse for Keith Whitley when he cut the song.
Lefty was a master of real country music, unfortunately not appreciated till he left us!
Could listen to him for ever
One the greatest singer ever
I can only imagine how this song taunts the leftwing youtube admins
A lot along with Merle song workin man blues
