Let Ford keep that GTD. Keep the Cobra R and the GT"40". The Ford GT will be worth more in the long run. I'd get rig of the Ford GT before a Cobra R.

I’d let a Fox or three go…but not the GT. I think the Fox body cars have a limited upside….compared to the GT.

Don’t do it. That Ford GT has way more character than a GTD. So does a 93 Cobra R. I had one of three special release 95 Cobra Rs, and a few Saleens. I wouldn’t get rid of those for some over inflated hyped up GTD. The older cars have way more character than a new GT.

I’m an Australian, I have an 88 LX vert in triple desert tan. I know what the Ford GT is, it’s a world known car, I had no idea what a GTD was till I googled it, honestly the GT is an iconic car, the GTD is just another Mustang variant at the end of the day. IF the GTD is going to be the supercar they spruce, I’d place your order, then sell the allocation for a profit. But if you want to go ahead with the GTD, sell some of the other cars that I see sitting vulnerable to the weather outside in your videos not even moving, I’ve only been following you since Kristy, so I don’t know their stories

My man works his ass off for everything he has, what's to knock? You could have the same thing, it just takes more work than most people are willing to put in. That being said, I would rather have a foxbody. 😅

Just like everyone else has said, keep the GT. You mentioned that they are claiming to make only a certain number of GTDs but didn’t Ford increase the production number of the newest GTs so they could make more money off of it? I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ford increase production of the GTDs either.

I’m still not over the fact I’ve passed on a GT many years ago for at the time what seemed like a lot of money…. Nothing will ever be made like the GT ever again. It’s only going to appreciate over the years. I would never sell it, unless you need the cash.

I really dont get the hype of the gtd. It looks like a mustang with a body kit. Theres no way im selling the gt for it. Hell if im parting with the gt it be for something likee the new zr1 or somethig like that. Theres so many better cars for the 300k price range, when its all said and done, its just a mustang. And im a big mustang guy. But lets be real here. As soon as that new zr1 came out, the gtd was a distant memory. So that should tell you how much it really means to people. Heres a scary fact, for the price of the gtd, you could get a gt500 cftp and a new zo6 or zr1 for 300k.

The GT was the Pinnacle of Ford and it has so much character. No way I would sell it.

Man I've been watching you since about the beginning, hell, I've even watched your sons stuff.... The one thing im sure of is you didn't get where you are ,or do the quality of work you do without being smart. I think its smart to get tid of the GT....but buying that new Mustang just isn't for me....but ill also say that we only live once!!!! If you and your wife want one and can swing it then hit the gas but i will warn you....we have no idea what the automotive hobby is up against with this electric stuff thats coming and what that will do to values!!!!! And are you ready to wrap up 300k in a car? That could really affect your retirement and your family. Hope all is well with you and your family!!!! At the end of the day that is all that matters!!!!

The GTD will be the same thing if it gets hit, expensive to fix. I'd keep the GT as you said it drives fantastic.

Being 67 I'm on the conservative side of spending. 😉 And even though it is an awesome car it would drive me crazy knowing I had that kind of cash basically sitting around. Not to mention where could you really use it besides the track? Then there is the fact you are almost in the same boat if there is any kind of accident, parts have to be rare and big $$$ like the GT40. As has been posted, few will know what it is, so the wow factor will be limited to the hardcore Mustang guys. I have been in that boat a few times, really wanting something, be it different, rare, cool. But always ended up regretting the buy. If it was the point that the funds meant no big deal, like the super-rich that don't care, then why not!

Personally I would sell the Ford GT and get the stress out of your life and keep the money and the foxbodys

You know what you have with the GT and enough time has passed to know the trend in value. I can see the GTD getting some other more sought after variant down the road like every other ford released over the last few years.
