She sings in Faroese. "Føroyskt" as we say.
It's Faroese. I'm Faroese Myself. Infact i know her a bit irl. She recently got married. I was there (:

northern atlantic verbal communion
My mom has taken that picture!;D
@Wuuhey Yes, the only diffrence, by the writing, is taht Iceland have 'þ', and we don't (Faroes Island) :D and they sometimes use 'é' too.
@thrainful No, Faroese. :)
Fine irish-elements indeed
I agree...their music is that feel good/relaxing music
@thrainful The correct answer is: fhe sings in Faroese (or Føroyskt, as we natives say).
@thrainful I am norwegian.. I don't understand much... If I read it I might understand, but not singing or talking:S I get some words tough.
@thrainful Yes. It's also quite similar to icelandic. It is one of four languages descended from the Old West Norse language spoken in the Middle Ages, the others being Icelandic, Norwegian and the extinct Norn, which is thought to have been mutually intelligible with Faroese. Faroese and Icelandic, its closest extant relative, are not mutually intelligible in speech, but the written languages resemble each other quite closely.
@thrainful It's faroese. :)
The English version pales in comparison to this. The English lyrics don't seem to naturally fit and it seems forced. This is amazing!
@Xerxes4242 Hi :) thank you for your comment. If you look at the thorn you can see it changes the color, it's just an effect that I made. hehe :)
Love her vocal solo in this one. Excellent album! Also, the thorn in your first picture is red on my album.. hmmm!
