Corrales is such a beautiful little town. There is an animal humane thrift shop there that I go to sometimes.

Greetings Big G- I am so delighted that you had a wonderful stroll through Corrales, one of the gems of our community in my opinion. You always do a great job zooming in on the eclectic ( I used that word on purpose! ) art. Corrales is so fun in the autumn with all the pumpkin head people and the colorful scarecrows! If I go holiday shopping I will tell them Big G sent me cuz it smelled so good! ( Wanted you to know that I watch your show often but on my TV and I do not know of a way to leave a comment in that format but I ALWAYS click the "like" button. Good informative and interesting video! Loved the history of Highland Park.

I think that the person who commented about getting permission to film people was upset over the handicapped or elderly person at the food court in the mall. Some people are embarrassed for them for no reason, and feel like they have to be a social warrior to protect them. The fact is that the world is made up of all types of people and that there is nothing wrong with a handicapped, or physically challenged person. They are part of this Earth and there is nothing wrong with filming them along with all the not so apparently challenged people. It's like the mother who scolds her child for staring. They will tell you straight up not to scold the child, but let the child ask questions. They're just human beings like the rest of us and don't want to be treated differently. Everyone has their own challenges and handicaps, it's not unusual. It's life, and that's what makes it and everyone, no matter what their challenges, beautiful.

I did a bunch of radio research in the 80s when I worked in radio. KOB (KKOB) radio is the oldest radio station in New Mexico, started in 1922 by Ralph Goddard at what is now NMSU in Las Cruces. It was bought by the Albuquerque Journal and brought to Albuq in 1932. It broadcasts with 50,000w, the maximum allowed in the US. As thus, it is an emergency station is the station you'd be directed to listen to in the event of an emergency. At night, it can be heard all over the country. I've heard it in the LA area and the San Fran area. Much like LA's KFI 640AM, which can be heard in Albuq. at night.

The Main Event looked so much fun. I would imagine you enjoyed the River of Lights. Used to go every year. Highlight of Christmas. Hats off to all those that put in the hard work to make it so enjoyable.

Thanks for taking us inside Main Event. I’ve driven past there dozens of times and always wondered what it might be. The mural was nice to see. The frustration you expressed in finding it was amusing. Enjoyed the glimpse of the Crowne Plaza when you hung a left off the interstate service road/ramp on to Menaul, as well as the video you did on the inside of the hotel there a year or so ago. Looking forward to tomorrow’s video of the light show you’re going to tonight.

The River of Lights! I went there 2 years ago, man, it was the amazing and beautiful sight, the best holiday event I have ever been to (and I'm from Chicago) You'll absolutely love it!

I’ve never eaten at Chipotle either, even though there’s one only about 5 minutes from where I live. I may have to check that place out sometime. Thanks for another great video.

That population didn't seem right. I recently saw some news that RR was creeping up on Las Cruces to be the 2nd highest pop., but not quite there yet. LC is under 131,000, so it couldn't be right. I googled it and got the same number as you did, but upon further investigation, that number was false. I don't even know where that number came from, it is not in the text when you click on it. The population in 2024 was 110,660. While LC was 115,956. LC hasn't quite doubled since 1990. RR has tripled since 1990. They're expected to surpass LC soon. I guess that's ok, cus I miss the LC of 2000. 🙁

Hey Big G ! Usually see a few horses being ridden when in Corrales. The older buildings are always nice to see. So much preserved history in New Mexico. Covid hit hard in that area & many older businesses & some newer ones closed for good. Nice video 👍

Fantastic video. I think you’ve been on these trails before? Maybe not, but if these are off I-40 in the direction of Tijeras then perhaps so? Either way, beautiful hills and exfoliated granite boulders. The geologist in me loves these up close views you provide of New Mexico landscapes. Good stuff, thanks for taking us along.
