My grandfather grew with nothing other than horse manure for 50 years. He always had the largest plants and would fully fence everything in with screens that he would build. This provided his plants with shade protection all summer long and I'd guess got rid of most of the pests. He hand tilled every single year with a standard garden shovel while adding the manure in the fall.

I wonder if you can air layer them. The roots would probably come along quite a bit faster when the 'cutting' is still being fed by the mother plant. But maybe it would just die, I dunno.

Get you a cheap fish tank bubbler. That way you don't have to keep going back and stirring it. 😊

Did you retain enough moisture in the propagation pots under the dome with such large gaps in your table?
