God bless America 🇺🇸
I miss this. Been since 92
In 2006, I remember walking by Fort Dix HQ as a young E4 right before 1700. The DoD Police do the flag duty there and they were getting ready to fire the cannon. The guys called me over and asked me if I wanted to fire the cannon. Even though no one other than us and my buddy were around, I felt like I was on stage with thousands watching... Everything went off (literally) without a hitch. My buddy was able to snap a pic with my 6 megapixel camera 🤣🤣🤣. One of my fond memories of Fort Dix. Probably the only fond memory of that place.
