Photos of 3rd CLY Crusader tanks in the Western Desert during WW2
Photographs of the 3rd County of London Yeomanry during their time in North Africa during WW2.
I received these photographs from my Grandfather Ken Medcalfe in the 1970's, along with some of his badges. I inherited his medals and other items when he passed away in 1993. I've scanned the photographs myself and they haven't been digitally enhanced. I believe most of these have not been published before, although I've recently discovered some of the same photographs online at the National Army Museum. These are from an album belonging to Major W.H.J. Sale. I've no information on how my Grandfather came into possession of some of the same prints.

Twelve photos I took of cars in Oulu during the summer of 1985. I used a 110 camera so pictures are not good quality. Saw lots of those lovely old volvos at that time.
Lego minifigure legs repair using a matchstick

This repair holds up pretty well and better than throwing away the broken pieces. I filmed this with my iphone whilst doing the repair so that's whey there's camera shake and some out-of-focus shots. I also had to change the iphone video clips format to square to work better with my editing software.

I started indicating early so oncoming traffic could see I was wanting to merge in. There’s a strong ’must stay in front’ mentality amongst Finnish drivers. It’s not like the country is over-populated either LOL. Garmin Dashcam Mini.

Nothing too dramatic here but just poor driving. Driver accelerates to cut in front of a closing gap. Was closer than the Garmin mini cam shows in the video. I gave them a couple of polite light flashes to help them understand.

Tesla driver jumps the queue on a motorway during a snowstorm and makes a late lane change just before the road forks. Straight into my safe stopping distance space. I drop back for safety. It was closer than it appears in the Garmin Dashcam Mini. A Tesla might be e a safe car, but the drivers aren’t. In my experience they drive too fast and take more risks.

Here's a classic example. You're pulling out from a junction when a car comes to turn into the same road. Instead of waiting to let you out, the other car cuts straight in. If this was the UK, the incoming driver would almost certainy stop to let you out BEFORE they turned in - especially on a narrow road. It's polite and no hardship for the driver turning in.

This is the reason there's often a queue on this particular stretch of road when there doesn't need to be one. Further back there's an incoming slip road which causes some breaking as cars enter the carriageway. Drivers see this and change lanes because they are impatient or late for work. They speed past and then dive back into the right lane just before the two roads fork in opposite directio...

I was there and got back stage have lots of pictures of the day and from the side of the stage when Big Audio Dynamite play an unbelievable set and were followed by Peter Gabriel … it was and unbelievable day and I bought the video when it came out hoping to see myself on stage … but it never pointed to the side I was on but I have the photos from the side of BAD & P Gabriel, met Joe Strummer who bummed a cigarette off me … cool day will always remember.

Final update: The replacement used gearbox was fine but subsequent unrelated issues led me to part exchange it for a brand new Audi A3 Saloon 30 - best decision I could have made!
A copy of this sold for £65 on eBay in June 2024. Some sellers are asking between £100-£200! Maybe I should have kept mine 😅. Fortunately I made a digital copy of the whole thing before I sold it.

Clickbait using the wrong vhs thumbnail. This is not the British opening.
Certainly not intentional. At one time I had at least two of the pre-cert tapes as shown in the thumbnail. I believe I recorded the opening scene from one of them. Although it was over 10 years ago and I also had a load of other VHS versions.
You are indeed correct. I just transferred an Intervision pre-cert to digital and checked the opening, which is different to the one I uploaded before. It must have been from one of the other videos in my old collection. I'll see if I can change the thumbnail and upload another UK Intervision version.
Now corrected and separate new upload with Intervision UK VHS opening credits.

How's the quality of the water bottle pockets? Do they take tall/wide-base bottles well without falling off?
The water bottle pockets are about 19cm deep. I usually carry a standard 500ml water bottle which is secure. My bicycle water bottle is wider and fits better but is only 19cm tall. The pockets are elasticated and stretch over a wider surface well. A much taller bottle should be fine because the side compression straps can be used to hold it in place at the top.

Update: The slim type of 500ml water bottle can slip out from the side pockets if the backpack is tipped. Such as when loading in overhead storage on an airplane for example. As I found out - fortunately it didn't hit anyone and landed in the centre aisle!
It seems to be a 'common' problem for all the backpacks I've seen, so I've always resorted to placing the water bottles in the main compartment. But this is good information, thank you!
Is it waterproof?
TNF website does not specify but it's certainly water resistant and good enough for use as a 'commuter' backpack. "500D Cordura® nylon matter ripstop, 600D polyester heather ripstop, 420D nylon".

bought it. Love it. I liked it so much that I gave my North Face Borealis backpack to my nephew for free for his schooling. The Surge does great in that it and flatten and then expand very easily.
