Lower Pawtuxet River Cranston/Warwick, Rhode Island October 25-26, 2024 I got a late start one Friday evening. I was paddling by 6pm and it was already dark out. Finding a spot to set up a hammock is not an easy task in the dark. It is especially tough when the water level is so low. The weather could not have been nicer. I filled my trash bag with almost 20 lbs of trash! Mostly glass from the ...

Kayaking on the Woonasquatucket River Providence, Rhode Island October 20, 2024 I started at Collier Point Park. I paddled under the 195 Bridge towards Downtown Providence. I paddled a little ways past the infamous Providence Place Mall and The Interstate 95 before I turned around. Freedom and fish is the smell on the river.

Assawaga River (5 Mile River) Putnam/ Killingly, Connecticut September 28-29, 2024 Two of us set out on an overnight journey down the "Assawaga River." One local bather was warning us of low water levels and beaver dams downriver. We decided to carry on anyways. A little paddling and a few drags later, we found a place to settle down for the night and cook some out of state chili in a dutch ove...

I started at Taylors Landing in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. I kayaked down the Chipuxet River to Worden Pond and camped at a secret camp spot. Day 2 I paddled to the start of the Pawkatuck River and met up with my friend. We trekked down the river to our next campsite, but got stuck in a thunderstorm. We waited under a bridge for the storm to slow down. We eventually made our way to a spot t...

Hey brother I really enjoyed this video.. I'm a content creator and paranormal investigator.. you got a new sub here for sure. Look forward to watching your other content what I'm about to do right now
@@wolfandhoundh.a.e Nice, I'll check out your channel! I've definitely camped in some paranormal spots. 👾👽👻
Providence has an awesome skyline! Great video! Interesting on how they stack/store the firewood. I only went to "Water Fire" once!
@@REZNAP They do such a good job stacking the wood in there. Providence does have the best skyline.
THANK YOU for cleaning up the litter, I do the same thing! RESPECT! 05:55 NO WAY! Gaggers! Game Changer *07:56 The whiskey was a hit!
Another awesome video and campsite! 08:25 I just tried those the other night, I agree, not bad.
@@REZNAP They are the best flavor!
@ Nothing beats the double stuff original! 😂
00:33 DUDE my heart skipped a beat!
Oh yeah, I think I hit something in the water and it made my phone stand fall over. At that point, I am going up some fast water. I go full speed ahead. Sometimes there are things in my way!
Incredible camping spot!
Thanks! I really thought the spot wasn't going to amount to much. It is one of my favorite spots now!
Another awesome video! I am glad I found your channel. *If time permits, can you do a video on your typical "load out" for one of your trips? ie, from toilet paper to tin foil... 7 kayaks!? No Cure. That's like guns, guitars, etc. POOPLE HEADS! Love it
I can try to make one. I am not likely to go out again til March, but I can do a load out video. I can even show my other kayaks.
@ MEGA!
Taylor's landing, if you go under 138 and follow the river up you'll get to 100 acre and 30 acre ponds. I started my paddles to the sea from Taylor's landing to Watch hill Westerly in 2 days. Wordens Pond can be very rough when the wind picks up in the afternoon. Hitting Wordens Pond before 10AM is best. You were lucky you didn't need to go past the old airplane hanger. Good videos at very nice locations, good job!
I have not paddled upriver from Taylors Landing yet. I have always wanted to! Maybe next season! I have also done Taylors Landing to Watch Hill in 2 days. It really can take a toll on you, so I add a day! 4 days, 3 nights. I'm not sure where the old airplane hanger was, but I am now curious!
Another incredible video and adventure, I had no idea these spots are so awesome. I love the drone shots! 09:48 I have driven over that damn a thousand times! Rhode Island has it all.
@@REZNAP Thank you! I am hoping to get my drone fixed for this next season. It went for its first and final swim in 2023.
Incredible! What a journey... I'll have to try that Bourbon! 13:13 I can get poison ivy from a picture of it in a book... *I hope you still have "Wilson"!
@@REZNAP That bourbon is one of the best. $50/ bottle, but worth it! I still have Wilson. And that spot has the most poison ivy I have ever seen.
@@WickedEarthAdventures I bet it's delicious! $50 Yikes, I am a Jim Beam guy. I probably caught Poison Ivy just from watching your video! How are the ticks? They seem to love me as well...
@@REZNAP For someone who spends every weekend sleeping in the woods, I saw 2 ticks in the whole year! And yeah, don't get poison ivy on you!
07:20 DAVE'S in Coventry!? Man I am loving these videos!
@@REZNAP Yes that was the Dave's.
I just discovered your channel, this is fantastic. I also pick up trash! Thank you!
This is AWESOME! Respect from Cranston, now Coventry. I am looking forward to some Stealth Camping in 2025
@@REZNAP I will be trying some new spots in 2025.
This is awesome! Where did you put the kayak in?
@@REZNAP There is a parking area for the bike path. The put in is really steep and a pain.
@@WickedEarthAdventures Gotcha! Is that where you can unload horses as well?
@REZNAP I am not sure. I am assuming you can, but I really have no idea.
Worcester and Woonsocket dump their sewage in it.
Another great video. Just finding your channel this late fall, I feel like I should extend the olive branch. Grew up in MA. I have worked in outdoor rec for 25 years, videography experience. I have been boating my entire life. Whitewater kayaking for over 20 years. Help friends with various channels/projects. If you ever need any beta on northern MA or NH don't hesitate to reach out. I feel it is your next logistical region for 25. If I had to guess. The Concord, Shawsheen, Millers, Souheagan, Merrimack, Nashua, Squannacook, Contoocook, Baker, Blackwater just to name a few. There are literally hundreds of rivers to choose from. ( I know I know cool story bro) We all got old, friends all have kids. There is hardly enough time to take these kind of trips anymore. It is awesome to see someone cataloging all these great rivers that often get overlooked.
@@van_demonium I try to make the videos for the people who aren't able to see it themselves! Thank you for the recommendation on new rivers. I do want to spread out more and find new places. Every river is unique in its own way.
Happy holidays from Plymouth o7
@@Anarcho420ism Thank you! Happy Holidays!
Thanks for making all these! It's great to see spots i like through someone else's eyes, and new places I haven't been to yet.
@@johnnyprovo988 You're welcome! I feel like these places are brand new, and it is crazy hearing that people went on trips there 40 years prior.
Man that train was moving man . Good video buddy .
@@mackjenkins7721 Yes it was! They go really fast in Rhode Island. I don't believe they cross any roads either. It took me years to actually get it on video! I want to get one while I'm on the water.
Until next season... 👍
@@hermytools I'm counting the days!
Man i didn't know that you have 7 kayak 🛶 man . I thought me having three was bad . While you not kayaking 🛶 doing the winter time you should do a video from all 7 of your kayak 🛶 man . I would love ❤️ to see all 7 of your kayak 🛶 man . That's funny man texting & kayaking 🛶 can be dangerous . I got to tell my 6 boys don't text & kayak 🛶 or text & drive . Good video buddy . Happy Holidays to you & your family buddy & see you in 2025 buddy .
@@mackjenkins7721 Thank you! yes, I have 7 kayaks at home. I'll try use all of them throughout the next season. I was thinking of doing a pontoon out of two of the kayaks.
I really enjoyed seeing this "simple" adventure. Thanks for sharing!
@@amotor94 You're welcome! I love sharing the adventure experience.
Man i have a question ? How far do you go kayak camping 🏕 ? Me & my whole entire family loves ❤️ going kayak camping 🏕 trip with friends & co - workers & we do like 20 to 50 miles kayak camping 🏕 trip when we go .
@@mackjenkins7721 I have gone 50 and 64 miles before. My typical solo out and back trips are usually less than 5 miles each way.
Dennis and I took this route 2 summers ago, what a great urban paddle. Awesome. The smell of the wood stacked under the bridges.🤠🛶

is that the Audubon wildlife refuge? The place looks nice!
@@mikekennedy2965 I'm not sure what it is exactly. There are many hiking trails in the area.
New PFD?
@@mikekennedy2965 I got this life vest for my trip down the Susquehanna River earlier this year. I'm trying to wear it when the water temps get colder. My old PFD was really cheap and way too small.
Nice videos. Serious question: do you not worry about running into the EP or regular cops? RI law is explicit about no dispersed camping.
Good question... although I see plenty of homeless tents in the woods by Garden City in Cranston.
🔦
Good thing you didn't try to camp way up river! I've seen some rats up there at night that would chew your leg off! ROUS!
@@mikekennedy2965 I am not brave enough to camp in Providence. I have seen these giant rats before.

wow you caught some great autumn colours and reflections in this one . nice camp spot too . shame about the rubbish . good on ya for picking it up ! :)
@@BushKayakersCampingAustralia Thank you! The colours were perfect that weekend. I try to pick up the rubbish when I can!
I love this spot so much-I went there either that very weekend or the one after. It's great to see some of my fave spots thru some one else's view. The water level was wicked low, of course-couldn't get too much further past some downed logs. Beautiful spot, though!
I had trouble in a few spots because it was so shallow. That river has a lot of charm.
It sure does: I checked my pics and I went out there last a week after you filmed this. I've made it going up quite a bit further, there was a terraced "landing on the west shore, I think there's a street off 165 that can get a person down there.
@@johnnyprovo988 I think I have been there a few years ago. I believe there is parking over there.
NICE Video, Thanks.Where exactly was the putin spot?

It is pretty rewarding seeing the spot glass free.
@WickedEarthAdventures thank you for doing that. Humans are the biggest threat to nature.
Did you get permission from the land owner to camp there ? That was definitely NOT- 'No trace' camping. That fire ring look's like you just made it. If I were the land owner I'da been pissed off without having given permission. I know exactly where you're at, I live just a few miles away and have paddled that river many times. Just smart enough to do it in the Spring with a real water level. Simply Noob's giving plastic, Box store, butt boater's a bad name. Don't follow their example kiddies. On the other hand, I was a young Noob once and did dumb thing's too. ...Which didn't seem dumb to me at the time ! Now I've got over 216 river's paddled and over 8000 miles in a 'CANOE' seat. No crappy plastic kayak's for me, just canoe snobbery ! But I do appreciate that you do enjoy paddling.
relaxing!
🐸
nice one . Beaver dams are cool . also i guess they help to keep the water level high which makes it easier for paddling
I don't mind beaver dams. Without them, this paddle might not have been possible. We had to drag a few times, but for the most part we were able to paddle. We haven't had much rain for the past few months!
cool vid! thx
I haven't got up to this section yet, but one way to make it extended would be to put in at Sandy Point in Potowomut, go up the Potowomut River (aka Greene River) and carefully get out on the south side of the bridge area and then drag/lift the kayak back into that section. Great vid!!!
I actually did that paddle the next day! Bradford Ave to that same bridge and back. We saw so many fish jumping in that area.

I love the swamp maples turning red!
Maples are one of my favorite trees this time of year.
Ty for being a great guy! Picking up the trash was classy! I don’t kayak, but I love your adventurous video
You're welcome! I hope it inspires people to pick up trash. It is so easy to bring a bag for garbage along with a dog walk! Kayaking is not for everybody, but if you are a nature lover and live near water, it can be a great hobby! I hope the videos can at least give you the kayaking adventure experience!
