I am starting my CNA class next month God willing 💖🙏 I want to share that God loves you so so much ❤️ the bad news is we have all sinned by breaking His commandments (worshiping other false gods, making idols, taking the Lords name in vain, not keeping the Sabbath, dishonoring parents, murder, adultery, stealing, lying, coveting, and more.) Sin is the reason we die and it is makes us deserving of punishment in hell. But God loves us so much that He sent Jesus His Son, who is One with God, so that we can be saved through Him. Jesus died on a cross and was treated terribly. He died to pay for our sins in our place. Jesus is sinless, He gave Himself as the sacrifice for us. Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, defeating death 🙌 John 3:16 in the Bible says “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” If anyone repents and places their faith in Jesus, they will be saved 💕💕 repent means to have a change of mind; we realize we have done evil against God, which leads to turning away from sin and turning to Jesus ✝️ when we place our faith in Jesus we trust that He died for our sins and rose again, we trust in Him alone for our salvation and as Lord 🩷 the Bible is Gods word; the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the Bible have Jesus’s teachings on how to follow Him, His amazing miracles, the death He dies to save us through Him, and His resurrection 🩷🩷 God bless you!

Thanks a lot for this video. Am a new new CNA and i worked by myself on Saturday after a 4 day orientation. I almost quit. Told my husband nursing is not for me though i want to be a Nurse. After my second day, am beginning to feel just a little bit comfortable. The fear and nervousness is going down a bit, just a bit. Hopefully, in a couple of weeks, months, i should be able to overcome all of these.

See there are pros and cons to everything in life, when you work for a home health agency you usually only focus on one patient at a time, secondly if you work for a assisting living facility they tend to exploit you by having you do multiple patients anywhere from 8-10 in a entire day.

Feeling so defeated:(i studied hard all week, stayed up until 4 am. Woke up at 7 and worked until 4. Created a practice test with. Did it. Checked my answers. Went back and analyzed what i did wrong. All for Nclex :(i think that i was just so tired by the end of it all that i just wanted to be done. I'm hopeful that i can bounce back but right now I just feel like crying 😢 😭💔💔🤕😓😔💔💔😓

What you do about nurses come and don't check on anything. Spends few minutes asking how I am and leaves. No bp. Temp heart.

Tip for the floor. KEEP A BAG OF TRASH LINERS IN YOUR SCRUB POCKETS. I cannot stress that enough. Just a roll of small garbage bag liners. I tuck mine in my lower left leg pocket.

Peds HH experience is dependent upon each individual experience. It’s super easy. The pay is pretty low and raises are rare. I worked with a Nurse that was with the agency for 10 years and never received a raise. You are disposable. There is flexibility. You work if the parent likes you. I have been in some scary situations with parents abusing nurses and i have even seen child abuse. I have worked with agencies that told me i should not report it bc they will lose money. You will get a lot of work if coordinators like you or little to no work if they don’t. The home health agency will place you in a home according to your nursing skills or train you to skills you are comfortable in learning. You have a plan of care to go by so you will have this information prior to the meet and greet so you have time to review their medical profile. meet and greet gives the parents a chance to give the nurses a run down on the child’s current and past status. after going over the poc you will know what you need to ask. it’s not all that great in my opinion.

Something else that people aren't informed about, is investments outside of your job. Talk to a financial advisor, and do your own DD, but I feel investments in something you've done your research for, makes doing difficult jobs easier, because the hope is that in the long run, if you average down, or whatever your long term plan is, you have an escape velocity ramp, so that you're not stuck with just the 8-12 hour shift salary. That's not financial advice, but just some cautionary tails, because no-one, and I mean no-one, told me anything about investing during age 16-33, and I could have been slowly accumulating and planning for my future. I worked bad wages, and I could have used some of that type of motivation, to see an escape plan, years down the road.

I also made a snapshot of my clinical rotations including number of hours on each unit. The portfolio comes in handy when you’re filling out profiles on websites and they want to know all this info. I keep an electronic version because they want it all uploaded too. Any additional info the request, I add it to my portfolio. I was just asked for my nursing GPA. So I made a spreadsheet and then added it my portfolio.

I'm currently trying to figure out what career path I might go to after I get my GED. I failed it 20 years ago in math and the essay. I always struggled with math in school. I prefer basic math so when I failed my GED I just assumed that I would never be good enough to be able to go to college. So I got a job in a grocery store and eventually was working western union. And I can handle counting all that money. That is fine. But I don't want a job that requires algebra, geometry, fractions for example. And since I now have physical limitations because I have herniated discs in my back, scoliosis, arthritis and inflammation in my back. I'm not suppose to be lifting heavy objects. And although I prefer sitting over standing alot. I can't sit down for hours and not get up because then my herniated discs will bother me. So I wanted to get ny ged since it's an old regret of mine but I'm so far running into trouble even finding a job in the medical field that does not conflict with my mental and physical limitations. I don't want to have to figure up complicated math all day and feel like I've been in school all day. I cannot do something that requires me running around 100 mph and literally at all times on my feet. I cannot lift heavy objects. Let alone a person. And I don't like the health risk of some of these other jobs in the medical field that put you too close to working around radiation, x rays because due to long exposure it changes your DNA and you might get cancer later. So any thing that puts me around any of those things is an instant NO from me. I just don't know what career out there is good for a 36 year old woman especially if I need to go to college that would suit me in all ways. I can't expect perfection in a job. But I cannot do something that is physically demanding or challenges my knowledge in complicated ways especially math. I would rather just be a cashier and not have the headache. Lol Any advice anyone?

I got a call for the position of a paediatric home care nurse but I am quite worried about the parents. I wanted to know if they interrupt us during work.

I currently work as a Perioperative assistant , cleaning ORs between cases. Occasionally you’re also asked to assist with patient transport. I’ve been working a few weeks now and today I was asked to do a patient transport , which I found to be enjoyable. Interacting with the patient and their family felt rewarding in a sense, even though I’m not a nurse or anything. I’ve always loosely thought of nursing, mainly because the aspect of helping people appeals to me. Today’s experience has left me thinking about this path a little more. I’ve always heard the stories of cleaning up urine and fecal matter, and I’ll be honest, cleaning up dog poop does make me gag. I feel like if I could push through that part though, I could have a fulfilling career where I can really help people. Schooling also seems intimidating, so I’ve got a lot to consider. I have a drive for helping people though so I feel like if I can survive it all, it would be worth it.

Is it worth it to become an LPN or should someone just go straight to RN?

3 Years later & this is still soo helpful. As a future pre med student looking to gain experience in the medical field, I am a little nervous. One question. Would you consider this job a good fit for somebody who has a passion for helping and serving others?

After using uworld twice and failing, I never knew I could ever pass the nclex but today I am very happy. I just passed my Nclex on my third attempt with a great help from Dr Luther

Thank you so much for your Part 1 and here Part 2 - These are really great tips! I am late in the game of the CNA/Care Manager world. But here I am. I have been a housekeeping supervisor for many years within a company and within my past business. With that said., "Within the company" I am working for needed more Care Managers/CNA's and less Housekeeping. I decided to drop my title as HSK-Supervisor to become a Care Manager and earn a certificate as CNA. I have taken, Pr-tests after Pr-Tests and passed all. Now it's official. I am ready to achieve the real deal. For those reading this... It's NEVER to late to, "STEP UP, MAKE CHANGE, and MAKE A DIFFERENCE!"
