Yeah white peach is tasty. I'm still sad we don't get yuzu or shikuwasa flavored things that often. And now that it is autumn, I know there are tons of apple and pear flavored things in the convenience stores in Japan. (if we are talking drinks.)

I'm not sure if I should use the word 'surprising' or 'alarming' at how many of the drinks you describe as "tasting like cough medicine". XD

I haven't tried that flavor but I have tried others from that brand. Pretty okay and I don't have to make it myself.

Glad it wasn't as bad as you thought! As a Slovenian, though I very rarely drink sodas, I always go for Cockta over anything else if possible. The fact it's less sweet and has more of a pronounced flavour than your average Coca-cola is really appealing to me, makes it more refreshing as well. Thanks for giving it a shot!

Hahhaha! Well the slimy, chewy bits are Aloe Vera! I don't think I ever had a drink or dessert with that in that didn't have the bits in. I'm guessing that the grapes are of the muscat family and not the typical purple one. I never really thought about the smell being soapy before. I mean there are other scents like raspberries and stuff in soap too. I guess you just have a really strong link to soap with that scent? You did good trying it though. XD

I have noticed that a lot of candy, snacks and beverages that are sold in Europe as Japanese products are actually produced and shipped from Thailand. It's not knock-offs, but it is not from Japan. I'm guessing that improves the profit margin. On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if there are knock-offs on the market as well.

I jumped a little when I saw your first reactions XD Jeez, some of the drinks you try are so bizarre! Somehow I get the feeling that they are sold and meant to be served from their container but that they *might* benefit from being used as an ingredient with other stuff. Though that's questionable in this case.

Have you tried tarragon soda? I tried it once and it was absolutely delicious! I wish I could find it again. It’s apparently pretty common in Eastern Europe

It feels reminiscent of the aloe and jelly drinks in Japan, and I assume other Asian countries. (There are probably experts who know better but I think it is a texture thing.) I think you could be on to something that it is a product meant to mimic boba/tapioca pearl drinks but in a way that would be cheaper and easier to produce for a European market.

I think that could possibly be used as an ingredient in a mocktail or a cocktail but even then there must be better options than that. XD I miss the Sprite with added mint to it come to think of it. It was refreshing when chilled with ice.

When I was a kid I wanted a candy with the same taste as my toothpaste! I bet that tasted more like the real thing than this drink 😂

As a Scotsman, I suggest you try my national (soft) drink, Iron Brew. The 'Max' version is closer to the original before they neutered it by removing the sugar.
