Main concern is the obvious; Damaging whichever side of the glass is the good side. *This* method he's showing (for 17 goddamn minutes) could/would be significantly quicker & less effort using better tools + chemicals. Obviously use a "Window Sticker Scraper" with a good wide blade for Cars instead of choppin up lines with your single disposable razor blade. Rubbing Alcohol to further speed up that glue nonsense.

disagree , use correct glue removal like 8333 or 9666 like we do on lcd will come right in clean room with no dust

But how did you then glue it back together? Normally they use glue and vaccum chamber to remove any bubbles.How did you attach glass back to LCD?

was hoping to find a video how to replace cracked glass on a good lcd but guess this is the same process and a lcd wouldnt survive this

Looking at this one things is obvious... even if the heatgun doesn't damage the LCD, you'll be left with panel with residual glue but no way of removing it as it is on plastic. On glass you could try different chemicals like alcohol, gasoline, cooking oil, silicon oil - one of them usually works depending on the type of the glue, problem is it's on a plastic layer of the LCD which will not survive most of these chemicals. (if you have new glass and figure out the glue just replace and hope it will become homogeneous and clear once you put new glass with glue on it...)
