For my latest video which i posted 19 hours ago, i got 179 likes, 43 subs 40 comments, audience retention - 436.9% for the first time ever on this brand new channel. But for some reason my reach is at 2000 and views are slowly coming in at 630 right now. Can i know why that is please? Even though my average view duration, likes, comments and subs have substantially gone up?

My most recent video I used an average of about 12 shots in the first 30 seconds. This is slightly behind what you suggested of 19. Thanks for all the advice

I love watching these videos to understand more of youtube but I always find them using Mr. Beast as a reference point nothing is ever taylored to everyday vloggers and more realistically people who are starting from day 1. Still a great video tho

Call me old school. I prefer long-form videos. They don't cut to a new scene every 1.7 seconds-the initial duration on videos by top creators. I often exit those scattershot introductions. The same outlook applies to movies. Remember the films "Taken," and "Taken II"? I enjoyed them. Then along came "Taken 3". A reviewer described it as "just a frantic, flash-cutting frenzy." I stopped watching it. The cutaways were mind-numbing. There must be other folks, probably a minority-and probably from older age demographics-that prefer longer-form presentations. Attracting those viewers might require more time and patience, but for me that's okay.

This is always an interesting conversation. RUclips WANTS high rention and will promote it. But in a lot of ways, that retention is HIGH because of CONSTANT STIMULATION. Is the video impactful or is it just helpful to distract a certain audience. Because if this is was the only way to grow on RUclips, then how do you Sam Sulek style videos, Vod videos LONG Horror game play throughs. Logan & Mr. Beast videos are designed for younger people and a younger audience that demands CONSTANT stimulation, that type of content is over stimulating for others.

what kind of genius? it's easy for MrBeast to talk about tactics when he has over 300 million subscribers. why didn't he ever support small youtubers? because he doesn't want to give a little publicity so that he doesn't accidentally have one less view on his channel. if he were to publish something that is not good at all, he would still have 100+ million views, and we small RUclipsrs cannot achieve monetization precisely because of such channels. it's pathetic
