Predator Ridge
Wanna go ride bikes around a super elite golf course? Sounds a wee bit lame, but the trails at Predator Ridge are anything but. When you think about a posh golf course, you don't often think about bike trails that have big slabs, rocky descents, and amazing views - but that's exactly what you get here. The fun meter is high on this one!

An Absolute Loamfest
Просмотров 14719 часов назад
This might have be my favourite unsanctioned trail that we rode on the Sunshine Coast. It was the Goldilocks trail for me, with amazing loam, steep, but not just controlled-breaking-steep, fast, techy... just so awesome!
Built to Chill, Sunshine Coast
Просмотров 89День назад
"We were going to call it 'Built to Kill', but it wasn't tough enough"... This was the steepest trail most in our group had ever ridden, but by Sunshine Coast standards, it was just another unsanctioned trail. After a massive hike-a-bike, we bush whacked our way through some tall grass and found a "trail". It was pretty awesome, yet ridiculously terrifying. The loam was unreal to ride and made ...
Exploring the Home of Freeride
Просмотров 184День назад
The Gillard trails in Kelowna, BC are considered by many to be the home of freeride mountain biking. This shuttle lap started at the KVR before diving on to Cat's Ass for some fast, flowy fun. Snake's Back was more flow, but with some wood features thrown in, before making our way to the black diamond trail, Wobbly Pops. 00:00 KVR 00:29 Cat's Ass 04:20 Snake's Back 07:20 Wobbly Pops
Kelowna OG Classics

On our second lap at Gillard we explored the classic trails Kerplop and Boss Hog. Kerplop was pretty raw and mixed in several wood and rock features as well as minefields of baby head rocks. Boss Hog has some cool features, including a pretty famous drop that we skipped. All-in-all, it was an awesome lap with lots of interesting features and challenges! 00:00 KVR 00:10 Kerplop 08:58 Lower Kerpl...

The Robert's Creek legend - Mach Chicken. After playing in the loam for much of the day, it was time to go mach chicken... super fast and raw, this trail was awesome!
Three Blind Mice
Просмотров 11914 дней назад
We absolutely understand why people travel from all around the world to ride the Three Blind Mice trails. After Climbing Yellow Brick Road, which is the chillest 1,000 ft you'll climb, we made our way to Eagle, Drops a Lot, and Slabs - three of the coolest XC trails around. This trail system is all about natural rocks, drops, slab, and views - can't wait to get back and do it all again! 00:00 I...
Rollercoaster

After an epic day in Squamish, riding the Alice Lake trails, we finished with this flowy dream. Fast, flowy, and ferny, it was a great way to finish the ride - even if Pav followed Ryder too closely.
Connector & Big Drop
Просмотров 14414 дней назад
Kelowna, BC is home to many iconic trails and trail systems and Crawford has some raw OG trails. Connector and Big Drop are two local favourites and I was stoked to show my buddy, who was visiting from Toronto, what Okanagan riding is all about! I tested out the Chin Mount set up and think it was pretty cool! I'm going to keep playing with it, but I think the first one turned out ok. It wasn't ...
Crank it Up
Просмотров 26221 день назад
Our final laps of the day were awesome flow and jump lines. I'm not a great jumper, so most of this was just me holding on for dear life - but what a blast! We started with with the super flowy Blueberry Bathtub before hitting the three sections of Crank-it-Up. We doubled back on the next run to test out C-More, which was also pretty rad. 00:00 Intro 00:23 Blueberry Bathtub 02:41 Upper Crank-it...

After spending a couple days in Squamish, we headed to Whistler Bike Park to check out some of the best lift-assisted mountain biking in the world. Blew a tyre right before dropping in... only one guy hung around and we raced down Gearhead! This trail is one of the best loam trails I have ever ridden, and it was fast!
Viper Trail on the Sunshine Coast
Просмотров 8821 день назад
We were lead around the Sunshine Coast by a local legend. We got to play on some unsanctioned trails as well as some of the more famous trails. Viper fits into the latter and it was awesome. Biking with buddies is always better, and when they're ripping like Keegan, trying to keep up is a blast!

Back to Hydrocut after a Couple Years Away
Good call to avoid those wood jumps with that weather. Typical BC, though, alot of riding in the rain/wet conditions. Loving all of your BC content! Thanks for another great share!
Been 💕 There
Sick looking trails. Good riding.
Bro your so underrated
I do t think I have seen vids of these trails. Glad to see you are sourcing out some of the less popular spots and bringing them back in to the spotlight.
So many great trails around! Trying to get out and play around on everything that's out here. This zone in particular was shuttle-only for a long time, but they've built a pretty great up track, so more people can get out and explore these trails, which is awesome!
You missed the whale tail rock slab on end trails, to bad it’s super fun
I think I know where you're saying - I went left and there was a little trail off to the right? We're totally going back, so I'll have to make sure to get it next time!
@@trailgnome if you want a tour next time, drop me a line. Been in town for a couple of decades riding.
Will absolutely do that! Thanks for the offer!
HAFTA has nothing on those rocks! Have you been to the jump park in Kelowna yet?
I don't know - the HAFTA rocks are horizontal, which might be more difficult! This Mission Creek Skills Park? I have taken my little guy there once and it's pretty cool - only about 5-6 minutes from my place, so really easy to get to!
where you had bony labeled is still entrails
Wow Amazing
Is that dust on your discs making that squeeking sound? Strong riding! Scary!
No, that was the Code brakes. As soon as I got back from this trip I change them to the XTs and they're way quieter and actually work!
So, you are officially on the Left Coast! Looking forward to your vids, especially being out that way! Thanks for the share, BC just does it right!
It's official! Some amazing riding out here so far and we've barely scratched the surface. Tons of content ready to be uploaded!
@trailgnome So awesome. It's on the bucket list to get back out to BC and check out some of the incredible trail systems put there. Enjoy. Hopefully, you will get a chance to ride with some of the other YTrs put there, especially @DangerousDave, @DaleStone, @VanCan, @JordanBoostMaster
Looks like a fun ride! what kind of bike are you riding?
Such a fun zone! Some techy sections (all with ride-arounds), flow, and some tough, punchy climbs. I'm on the Pivot Mach 5.5 here.
Gets so dicy wywh it’s least like that in the fall. Always feel like I’m gonna die on the corners
Hey bro which trail this is? Planning to go there this weekend
Sorry for the delayed response - hope you had a blast! Waterdown is always better with a guide since it's a bit of a maze and you can get climbing some brutal trails. Here's my favourite loop off of Hidden Valley Rd - www.trailforks.com/ridelog/view/55742213/
Nice video. These trails look fantastic!
Oooh.....what a commitment to get across that creek! Berms and HAFTA, who knew the two would ever be together in the same sentence.....in a good way! Nice work, HAFTA!! Another great share with this vid!
Thanks 👍 I was pretty sure berms were illegal at HAFTA, but it definitely works here!
@trailgnome I also thought I had heard something about no berms at HAFTA, but, glad to see they are doing more upgrades. Are you going to the Turkey Point Spring Kicker or the June 15 event at Hydrocut?
Rumour has it that there' s a new trail coming soon at HAFTA that should be pretty epic! Unfortunately, I won't be at either event this year. As of the end of May I will be relocating to BC. Only a couple more weeks to get some of my final rides in around the GTA!
@trailgnome Fantastic, hopefully you will get a chance to ride with the local YTers out in BC! I used to live out there, but only skiied, didn't get into mtbing at the time. Whistler/North Shore/Kamloops....so many places on my list to get to while I can still ride a bike! All the best with your move out West. Looking forward to your BC mtb content. Glad there is more coming to HAFTA, long overdue, should be exciting.
Great HC run....noticed much of the Creepy Corner footage was cut ...lol. That climb is nothing anyone wants to watch! Looking forward to seeing some GORBA footage this season!
You made that look trivial. What kind of suspension travel and tires on your bike?
The bike is a Pivot Mach 5.5 - it has a 160/140 set up with 27.5 inch tires.
Hope people are able to appreciate the level of skill required for this type of tech. TG, I am learning you are no slouch at HAFTA! Great riding, Sir.
Thanks! Love the HAFTA trails for sure - the videos really don't quite show how much rock there is there. Thanks for watching!
@trailgnome I love HAFTA more in the winter, lol. Subscribed to the channel. Looking forward to what you'll be sharing next. Do you go to Hydrocut often as well? I know there is work being done on two new sections s(Glasgow and Snyder sides).
You're not alone in loving HAFTA more in the winter - beautiful in there and less rocky! I think my last video before these couple HAFTA trails was from Hydrocut. I have some riding buddies that are in the KW area, so I typically get out there one or two times a year. Lots of interesting new stuff there for sure!
Honestly haven't seen anyone conquer the HAFTA rocks so well. Props for making it look effortless.
Looks like a lot of fun! I need to try out HAFTA 🤘
Well, after seeing this video, I can say you are truly a 'rock star'! I have ridden HAFTA in the summer, and it is no easy feat to navigate through those sections. Very impressive riding. Awesome to see such a large group ride as well.
Sick trail! I hope I make it there one day - when it’s not raining 😅 New Sub here 🤘
I can't wait to check it out.
See the trails in the spring time 😀
Techy rock trail!!
Not for the faint of heart! But so much fun!!
That was absolutely relentless. It’s like they looked for every rock, boulder, baby head, and sundry chunder in the area and made a “trail” out of it. I appreciated your line choices. Sorry about the crash that looked gnarly. Hope the ribs are doing better. Kudos on finishing the ride!
I just started riding last year and I find that I've definitely gravitated more towards the tech sections of a trail rather than fast and flowy. After watching a selection of vids on HAFTA, I'll definitely have to visit here in the future. Pads at the ready! Thanks for sharing.
Great trail, where does it start? Would like to try it out
You guys need alot more practice
You may know this, but TWE, from Burro, doesn't open until July 1 at the earliest due to USFS regs. I'd be very surprised if it doesn't melt out early enough to open at some point this summer even after our huge year.
Hope so! It's just what the shuttle crew and at one of the bike shops were saying - we were lucky that UPS opened days before we arrived!
Nicely Done !!
is class 3 eMTB allowed at the area?
Hey! Not sure - I have seen e-bikes, but not sure the policy. Have a look at the website or give them a call to make sure (conservationhamilton.ca/conservation-areas/christie-lake/)
Switchblade? Music is too loud, more trail noise. Waterdown looks great!
It's the Mach 5.5... I've got rid of the music for newer posts!
Wow, looks awesome. Maybe this Summer!
Looks bike friendly too, for those of us who aren't enthusiastic climbers 🙂
Nice to see someone go in the crazy rick wall on Frank’s Trail! Well done!
I couldn't watch the whole video due to the GOD AWFUL soundtrack....
Next time I'll forgo using the supergroup with STP and G&R and toss some Enya on there for ya!
@@trailgnome Sounds good, thanks so much :)
Very cool! The kid's got skills
Nicely done!🤟
I see Bob...
I didn't see a trail there... You guys just made it up didn't you? 😂. Great riding... HAFTA rocks!
Top Secret! But also on Trail Forks… we don’t do a great job with secrecy…
Crazy ride! Well done!!
Thank Karen! The HAFTA team just keeps doing great work!
That drop on the Stunt Trail always impresses. How about those skinnies @ 2:50 ... I don't recall seeing them. Do you remember where they can be found?
Brand new trail! It starts right after “fraggle rock” on the Stunt Trail - trail is called Gary’s Grind… enjoy!
Wow, you are very skilled!! I love hiking these trails but it’s always cool to be along for a ride. Love seeing you go down by the pothole
Well, Karen, I think you cover more ground hiking in a day than I typically do on the bike! Thanks for all the work you do keeping the trails amazing!
@@trailgnome Thanks. Looking forward to seeing some mushrooms after this rain.
just arrived in sudbury few weeks ago. any recommended store where i can buy fat bike?
There are a few great bike stores in Sudbury, but I wouldn’t know their inventory. I would recommend talking with John at Sessions or heading over to Adventure 365. Good luck and enjoy the snow!
Good quality, very easy to see what the trails are like. 👍👍
I live in Walsden & don’t recognise any of this , whereabouts is it please ??
Such fun trails! Enjoy - Walden Trails on Trailforks www.trailforks.com/region/walden-trails
This trail is epic!
Ya buddy! Always make time to get out there when I’m in the area.
I just went there today! What a find!
nice clear video, good job..
Great job on the video and riding guys! Can't wait for summer.
i love this place
