An American Airman on 9/11
Recorded on a back porch of base housing. Military aircraft will therefore be heard overhead.
Song by Toby Keith
ruclips.net/video/ruNrdmjcNTc/видео.html.
At first, Keith refused to record the song and only sang it live at his concerts for military personnel. The Commandant of the Marine Corps James L. Jones told Keith it was his duty as an American citizen to record the song. "If you want to serve, that is what you can do." It was subsequently released in May 2002.

Piano Test
Просмотров 29Год назад
The previous occupants of the home we recently purchased left a piano behind. After a career's-worth of playing in electronics, I started to turn it into a player piano and, searching the Internet, found the job had already been completed by an intelligent young man. His name is Brandon and he has generously shared everything needed to build your own here: ruclips.net/video/S7Bd992k368/видео.ht...

Running the '82 Chevy Shortbed K10
Просмотров 1406 лет назад
I failed to video the very first run, but this is the recently built .060" bored 350 running in the Chevy Pickup after setting the ignition timing and installing the dipstick & valve covers. The choke still needs a little attention, hence the screwdriver, but we're having a good time getting it going.

It still has needs and as the builder he's aware of every one of them, but it's great to be sharing the hard-earned result of a lot of effort with some friends. In a word, "Commendable".

This 1959 Willys Pickup was parked in a Kansas farm field and was last _attempted_ to start in the mid 1980's. Two weeks after we got it to tear-down and rebuild, we were having some fun.

Looking back, what would you recomend? Complete frame swap or just what you did?
Well... first of all if someone is considering _this_ swap, XJ's don't have frames. They are unibody construction, so there is no choice to be made. Additionally, and it's a personal thing, I'm not a fan of frames that don't match-up with the underside of the body, especially on lifted vehicles where the frame is so visible. It's a small matter I guess, but if you've ever looked at something that was put on a Square Body Blazer frame you look at it and immediately think, "It's on a Blazer." because of all the weird gaps. A lot of really fun stuff has been built that way... just a matter of personal preference. The argument for the other side would be newer frames are usually already "boxed" in from the factory and therefore stronger just as they come, but we like welding.

Cool. I had a 77 luv with Aaron California stepsister kit and stacks exhaust. Fun truck.
Sounds good 👍👍🇺🇸

No lift 'kit'. The build is at ruclips.net/video/1Ls78oZ_DPw/видео.html if it helps. Cheers!
Hell yeah
THANKYOU FOR SERVING young man!!
WOW you should be sooo proud!
I have a chance to buy an old willys wagon it was rolled and axles sitting on the dirt $300 firm lol but I already have three other projects ....
Wow, does this video bring back memories!!! Yes, I also learned to drive in a 59 Willys. I am from the Pueblo area, a little south of you. My dad had a 59 pickup and my grandfather had a 58 wagon. The year was about 1973, my dad would take me out onto private property and turn me loose. I even took my driving test in the 58 wagon. Good times! Since then I have owned several jeeps, right now it's a 84 CJ7, got to love a six cylinder! Thanks for sharing!
Kinda stupid. This truck wasn't designed to have a heavier engine in it.
What’s wrong with more power
Like to see photos of the coil spring bucket to the frame. Doing the same swap to a wagon.
What axles did you use. Great project.
Good job I’m doing the very same thing on mind I took a tj donner but I’m putting coil spring all a round with long arm suspension from rough country would you know how much does the front drops when you installed the power train ?
I'm sure you've figured it out by the time we've gotten around to replying, but for future readers we did measure how much the XJ came up when we removed the powertrain to accommodate a like amount but forget the actual number by now.
Beautiful!!
im here laughing at all you damn yuppie twins. hahahaha
That is a great build. Good the very low humidity country, sure kept rust down. Great looking truck! Wonderful ideas, especially the 4.0 six.
Do you cut and reuse the cherokee motor mounts or fab those up?
Mines a step side too! I’m throwing a ‘79 LUV step side on to a ‘81 cab! Check out the progress I have already! ruclips.net/channel/UCptYlkH2T4_8VHw49hgWVyA
Lose that stupid music,jeez!
Yes ,,,,,
Excelente job,you are an American worker!!! It Is a best American pickup of the world!!!
Yes. All American.
Did you consider using a TJ frame and saved time on fit of newer axles and drive train?
Nope. We used what was available to us at the time and fabricated/adjusted accordingly.
Penzoil ugh that poor engine
bloody good job
NICE JOB IM BUILDIN A 54

Bonjour du Canada Great job young man
Awesome time well spent...
Thats the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. Young man diving in and getting his hands dirty, and finishing a project. Nicely done!!
What happens to the luv
It is long gone. I don't know its current whereabouts.
ColoradoMelons I was just wondering because I have it now
Glad you tossed that old flathead engine. I prefer to install a Buick V/6 instead of Jeep because you don't have to cut up the cab like you did.And I use a T-14 transmission which is pretty bulletproof. The Buick has more than enough power too.
You in the Falcon Peyton area?
Yeah, Man. That's us!
Great job ...love to see the younger generation off the couch ....is there a follow up vid?
I love a LUV!!!
Awesome work! More young men should grow up doing these types of projects, its good for the mind and soul. If you ever need anything check out willystruckwarehouse.com. My old man has it all!
Congratulation, great job
oh no what you shoulda ( coulda ,woulda) is make it into a submarine with wings so it can fly in air or water and use a sterling heat engine. Serious comment now. It makes me happy to see young folks work towards a goal. And i guess if someone wants to buy it so they can '' Do it RIGHT'' I am willing to act as broker ( for a modest fee). The bidding starts at 13 million and 34 cents.
COOL
Good project for a young man...BUT the Willys engine will out last the AMC or Chrysler unit your putting in there.
Agree to disagree.
The funniest thing about Mr. Newkirk;s offhand comment is the Willys engine failed and was replaced by the original owner at only 53, 442 miles, less than a 1/3 of what was on the donor 4.0 before our rebuild and less than a 1/4 of what was on the owner's replacement 1954 Flathead Chrysler Spitfire 6 when we pulled it (50+ years later in still running condition) at 1:25+ in the video... BUT hey, anyone is entitled to spread all the misinformation they want without proper investigation in the name of fact these days.
Dude thats fucking cool!
Wow hahaha is beautifull
Yeah buddy! :D
Very cool! Looks like a well thought out design and nice to see jeep donor parts used in a jeep project. Personally tired of seeing 350s dropped into everything! Nicely done!
Us too, Robert! The SBC is a popular engine for good reason, but it wasn't the direction we wanted to go.
@@ColoradoMelons I just finished doing a ls 4.2 from a gmv envoy in my willys with the nv3500 but may go to a 4500 with granny low. I like inline 6 engines. The 350, 302, ls 5.I & 6.0 have been done WAY too many times. I wanted to be different too. My other willys will get a 6.5 detroit turbo diesel.
THAT'S AWESOME GUYS,THANX!!!IS THERE A PART 2 ???🔩🔧
At the moment, just ruclips.net/video/gWyFtJg-O1U/видео.html and ruclips.net/user/edit?o=U&video_id=o_YDrdRQEVU
It was intended when we did this one and the truck is finished with a new bed and a 12,000 lb winch, but the owner/builder has been serving his country in the USAF and we haven't done another... yet.
