4 Whisks / 4 Matchas : What's the best whisk for matcha?
Просмотров 1,6 тыс.2 года назад
We often get asked what utensils are essential for making matcha, and our answer is simple...you need a good whisk. But outside of Japan it can be difficult finding a bamboo whisk. Atsuko-san looks at some alternatives she found in her kitchen. But how are the end results? 4 bowls of matcha, 4 whisks, 4 very different results....

Perfect ❤
My ASMR journey is complete! I never knew that this is where it started. We're visiting Japan in Jan 2025 and I hope we can include this experience on our itinerary.
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful otemae! Which school is this? Also, is it ok to add a small kensui under chawan? If not, how do people transporta tea kettle, furo, and kensui? Also, where are you located? Are you offering lessons at the location? Thank you so much!!❤
Which Ryuha is it?
Is this omote senke?
Chinese people are used to serving tea to guests and have formed a corresponding tea etiquette. For example, when inviting a guest to drink tea, the cup should be placed on the tray and offered with both hands. The cup should be placed in front of the guest's right hand. When talking and drinking, the guest should be provided with water in time. The guest should be good at "taste", sipping tea slowly and taking small mouthfuls instead of gulping it down.
one day, i should like to attend one of these in person. I should also like to learn the history and traditions of the tea ceremony
Love ❤❤❤
This was SO amazing, many thanks.
Thank you, ladies. It was very, VERY interesting!
Very informative, thank you for sharing.
Beautiful!
I missed the amount of water to the tea bowl.
❤
How beautiful. A totally serene experience; i would love to experience this once in my lifetime. Beautiful women - so elegant!

Thank you for this authentic way to create matcha! I feel like I’m back in Kyoto ❤❤
Can you please tell me what brand of matcha you like and where I might purchase it?
I do love matcha it is so good for you best wishes Colin UK 🇬🇧 😊 xx
perfect tea ceremony, great video
I wonder how you can tell if the water is hot enough without a thermometer.
Greetings from Barcelona from Guillermo! I am happy to see you here! :)
Can matcha tea be made with milk?
how can you enjoy when you have too many rules on drinking tea.
I believe it is an experience meant to be enjoyed not rushed. To make this part of your day relaxing and calming. What a lovely ceremony.
This is so calming to watch. Exactly what I am looking for. A small antidote to the chaos of the world. It reminds me to slow down.
After reading "The Pillow Book" and "The Tale of Genji", I realised that the most commonly consumed drink during court ceremonies was not tea, but sake - and in large quantities. I suppose harmony with the world was reached fairly quickly...
Well done I. Not used to things being slow but I stayed and saw how you do it
I have been looking for the tea ceremony video and this one made me so relaxed and I really felt as if I was there with You. Thank You very much for this video, it is beautiful. The experience of watching it was amazing. I take the feeling of peace with me. I really hope to visit You one day.
What a charming video - it did indeed cheer me up, here in the UK. So many thanks,
I love thus channel. Great information, and always spirit lifting. Thank you for this, and all the hard work . Videos are not easy, and your quality is very good.
足痺れた隆治さん、かわいいかよ❤❤❤
Love your presentation
I just put a spoonful in a cup, stir and drink. Tastes good and has same health benefits without the froth.
i thought that was elvis in the thumbnail
To vast,take your time
Many school trips had been delayed during the pandemic, and when things began to return to normal I think many schools took the opportunity to visit Kyoto while the borders remained closed. There were so many students during June!
A lot of groups of school kids there, had the school started when this video was recorded?
I need to know more about what an oshiruko is lol. Is the white wafer stuff edible?
Oshiruko is basically just a sweet bean soup. The wafer is a convenient way to hold the soup powder and once you’ve added hot water you can let the wafer dissolve into the soup.

Too many rules. I will just drink sweet tea.
How eye opening. Thank you for doing this.
Hello , thank you for the tips , how much water do I put in ? Thank you
I was wondering the same
Hello!! It would be really fun to see Nao-san walking in normal speed. And hear her talking about the environments. I would very much enjoy that and I think others would too. This kind of content can be very popular, see for example youtuber "rambalac". Have a nice day <3
Woah, you can really tell the difference :O Very nice video. But wouldn't the electric whisk be able to achieve the same results given more time (and if you had a bowl that wasnt as beautiful so you dont mind it being damaged)?
Thank you! Actually, you are right. If you use deeper and don't-mind-cracking your bowl, it makes better. BUT! Bamboo whisk always wins :) Since matcha does not contain as much fat as milk, it won't be the same like cappuccino. (Yes, I tried.)
I was expecting worse with the electric whisk xD
Make more videos❤
I’ve only done it twice. The first time came out much better than the second time. Lol 😭 I think I might have added too much water.
Thank you for the directions! I will make sure to use them someday.
