    What size nuts and bolts did you use ? Mine came with none

    • @chrisrodproductions
      @chrisrodproductions День назад

      I recommend getting 3/8-16 bolts that are 2-1/2 and/or 3 Inches. As far as the class of bolts I suggest going with Grade 8 bolts, but you can use stainless steel as well.

    I've had mine for a few years, using them to not only change oil but transmission fluid, apply anti-rust spray, and general inspection of what's going on underneath. They seem very rugged. There's a youtube video of someone crushing car ramps with a hydraulic press, including the Rhino Ramps. They withstood far above the rated capacity.

    next sell gimmick for the people 20k lbs ramp for 100 you know you will buy it for safety. But all serious 12k is fine 16k for f250 trucks and above

  • @abyssalsoul6216
    @abyssalsoul6216 5 дней назад

    After placing the ramps in front of the tires , I stepback and look down the side of the vehicle while eyeing the ramp at the same time to make sure it is lined up parallel. Doing this will ensure that as the wheels ascend up the ramp it will not drive off the sides, if there is any misalignment.

    You’re entitled. People who work at auto parts stores don’t make enough to live. You should know better and if you’re worried about incorrect parts you can give them the entire vin. It’s your own fault you got the wrong part.

  • @Hold-my-beer
    @Hold-my-beer 27 дней назад

    Here’s what I do. I go online, look up the part, call the store to grab the part off the shelf(just to make sure it’s really there) place the order online with the online discounts and go pick it up. No wait time since the part was already pulled. And make sure you get the associates name and repeat it back to him or her. So that they dont lie to you and say yes the parts there when they never looked. Lol

    I work for an AutoZone and it seems in my area people hate it when I ask the questions that i have to put into help fid the right part. Our personal favorite is I need such and such part for a Chevy 350 we ask the year, they answer it doesn't matter there all the same. they should ask year make model look alternator then it brings up the engine if there is more than one size for that model year. Sometimes I'll have to go to a year earlier or later as they will be off because the moth i was made in so I can find the right part. Sometime the parts are boxed wrong.

      I remember these customers, sounds like your dealing with the old timers, and I know they can be difficult. It sucks because you want to be good help but there patience is never there. I remember a time where a guy wanted a simple ballast resistor(2pron) for a 70s mopar and the manager at the time didn’t even know what to put and needed all the info, luckily for me since I have the 80 dodge aspen I knew that all the resistors are identical so I told the manager to just put my car info instead to find the right part. Point being for the those kind of customers it’s just a matter understanding a little bit more of the classic car market.

    Dude, I’m truly sorry about what happened at the parts store. The crap happens to me all the time. The people that work at those places don’t even seem to care that they have a job. I do have a question. I saw your video about the ex pipe I was just wondering that when you took out your catalytic converters, did it throw any codes or did you get a check engine light or anything like that?

    • @chrisrodproductions
      @chrisrodproductions 28 дней назад

      I don't know whats going on with the world but something needs to change. To answer your question about the X PIPE, I did get check engine codes for the simple reason that there were officially no Cats anymore on the car. To have it removed I made the purchase of a tuner to be able to have the control that I need and shut off the rear 02 sensors. Another way to remove the code is to get an 02 Sensor extender to separate the sensor a little bit more from the pipe that way it doesn't read the sensor properly. To my experience it doesn't harm the car, but i wouldn't doubt that others have had different experiences. Hope this helps

    Hello. I have a 2009 BMW X5, 140k miles with loud noice in the engine. I put the lucas and the noice is gone, I am very surprised that it worked that well. However I have been seeing videos and some suggest that, it's not good to use it in cold wether, others that it will damage some components etc. Do you have any more info regarding LUCAS. Thank you. JC

    • @chrisrodproductions
      @chrisrodproductions Месяц назад

      so i don't have accurate information on this, but i will say that if you take room temperature oil and oil form the freezer and poured them at the same time, you will see that the oil from the freezer will take a longer time to empty compared to the room temp. Now imagine this in the engine of your car, you typically would want your oil to go to as quick as it can through the oil pump, and to the heads of your car. Having the Lucas(already a think oil additive) in cold weather would essentially NOT help the process to getting oil through the engine as quickly on a first start up. The oil will move through the engine more freely when the car is warmed up. Hope the helps
