    Hint to international viewers: A US parking space is usually 549 cm x 274 cm. That's why you may have found some of the exercises a bit challenging. In many countries a parking space is typically 500 cm x 250 cm. Beginners can increase the distance between the cones to 300 cm.

    when doing slalom, what gear I should be in?

    • @LanaOnWheels
      @LanaOnWheels 4 дня назад

      Start with the first gear. Approach this as a typically riding. If you can switch to the second, your slalom is not challenging enough. Make it shorter (reduce a distance between every cone by one foot) or offset every second cone by one foot. This way you continue improving on your lean and clutch control.

    Excellent pedagogy. You definitely know how to teach. I'm a tall but older rider. I do a stationary cowboy mount because my hip range of motion is reduced and I need to stand on a peg to get the other leg over the saddle. I'm going to practice the rolling cowboy mount in a parking lot, per this video, so I can show off instead of looking like a decrepit invalid. 😀

    Fantastic! The slow race is a favorite at many rally events. This video has so much practical value all riders should watch it. For those riding a DCT, the rear brake is your friend since there is no cluth to feather. Also, check your 6 (rearview) if you practice this before light and stop signs on the roads because car drivers are often inattentive. Another grat video.

    People, Lana is making the best motorcycle riding instructional videos on RUclips. I don't say this lightly, I'm pretty critical of content but Lana has got this down pat. Clear instructions, well planned video and audio and easy to understand. This is the first video contant I've subscribed to. Compared to most other videos out there that are stuffed with fluff and more focused on the who instead of the what, these videos are refreshing. No dilly dally here, just good info presented in a professional manner. Keep going!!!

    Both feet on the ground if you can and the road is flat. Huge winds happen, they come out of nowhere. You can't predict them. They can and will blow you over and always to the side where your foot isn't down. You have two brakes, At a stop, you don't need to cover the rear brake. Shorter riders, adjust the bike to you, not the other way around. There are so many models of bikes out there, get one that fits you. There is no rule that you just must ride a bike that doesn't fit you and then use tactics that challenge you to fit the bike. The ads for sale are full of tall bikes having been dropped at a standstill by riders who just had to have the tallest bike out there. If you will spend lots of money for gear and accessories, spend that money more wisely and get that bike that fits you.

      @@LanaOnWheels We are all riders. I enjoy your videos very much and find them well done, accurate and anyone riding would benefit from watching them. Too often though, many riders buy motorcycles that are ill suited for them. The bigger or more powerful is better isn't always the best option. I'd recommend anyone who rides to watch your videos. I'd also recommend anyone making videos to watch how you do yours. The clarity of your delivery is at the top of the crowd. There are plenty of people making motorcycle instruction videos that would benefit greatly by learning from how you make your videos. Keep going Lana!!!

      I think I understand better now where you're coming from. And I agree that people often buy more bike than they can handle (though more often it's not about the physical size, most people can flat foot on liter bikes, way fewer can ride them safely). But my hope is that if someone has found my channel, they've done it for the right reason: learning how to ride better. So, I work under the assumption that my viewers are serious adults who make sensible choices. Thank you for the good words. Ride safe!

      @@LanaOnWheels i guess thats true, depends. it will not suite Touratech upper crash bars for sure. I am talking only on uppers one as most will have connection bar underneath the beak for the crash bars (left and right)

      @LanaOnWheels Месяц назад

      I know exactly what you're talking about (had Touratech on the previous bike), and SW-Motech bars also have that connection. And they also use the headlight shroud as a mount point - I was able to fit both the bars' brackets and the light mount brackets together with the same screws. But of course a better alternative is to use dedicated bar mounts instead. You can buy them from Denali (quality but expensive) or use any cheap Chinese hardware off Amazon, as long as you can match them to the diameter of your bars.
