Wow, this triggered a memory. Back when this game came out there was a screensaver for Windows that showed most of the cards. I wonder if that still exists on some forgotten archive server.

I always loved the design of this "lodge." Very X-files futuristic. The red sky behind the shades is reminiscent of the sky in Chesed, too.

I found it excessively creepy when I entered my own name that it came up with something fitting for me. I guess astrology works that way but still...this was remarkably well done.

Can you do the hacker's van and the voice on the phone? That's a very interesting piece of conversation all by itself.

I seem to remember when this game came out one of the promotional pieces, I think in a magazine, said that the "Horus" acoustics in this part were literally recorded with a microphone in a toilet bowl. I do NOT remember that last bit of him speaking however, ending with "chesed."

Wow, so glad I found your channel. The only thing that used to be up here on RUclips was the longplay of this game. I had given up seeing this supported by ScummVM. I briefly corresponded with Mark Burgess who was good friends with Harry Horse once. Mark of course had an image of the hacker's airstream on the cover of his band "Invincible's" album, "Venus." I also enjoyed a conversation with Will Joss, aka "Miasma" who did the music bits from this game. In addition to being a wonderful guy and a talented musician, he did say that they kind of chopped up his work into those small looped bits. I'd love to hear the full musical pieces. Joss did release a Miasma album on the E:MT label...you might hear some of it on SomaFM. One small part of that album, "Settled Storm" appears in this world as well.

Interesting. It's like a combination of the Templar's assumed head worship (John the Baptist cult maybe) and the medieval legend of the brazen head. I now wonder if the legend of the brazen head already inspired the accusations of teh Templars in the first place. I think The Invisibles did something like that too but it was only speaking gibberish.

I still can't tell who the voice actor is but they're very good. The whole scene is quite unsettling

In the last clip, I could just barely make out “chesed” and I think i also heard “ein sof” which in Kaballa is the ancient of days, essentially the original, ineffable godhead. One of the inaccessible files on the hacker terminal in Din is labelled the ancient of days. Very interesting, I wonder if theres some secret to getting this clip to play in game.

This is much closer to who and what the deity Baphomet of the Knights Templar actually was: a brass automaton head with human remains encased within that could foretell the future and answer any question the knight’s asked. The androgynous goat synonymous with Baphomet didn’t come along until hundreds of years after Baphomet’s name was even attested. I respect the hell out of Harry Horse’s research into occultism. Dude was incredibly underrated.

What's crazy is that with this dialog the story is pretty clear. In this world what the fuck Masons believe (I think the guy who made this had to be in on it) is that there is no Jesus as a God but only as a Prophet or good teacher, Christianity is a lie and aliens (must like the irl biblical lore) are real and coming down to live stock humans where it splits into fiction and reality. I'm game there will be a end where the aliens come back and humans as pigface said will be their breeding tools. Combine this to what Baphomet said and there will be Androids with fish babies not of human blood but other bike probably synthetic like what Bill Gates is currently doing

This is really helpful! This game Is great and I love it but the audio mixing makes difficult to understand the already weird story

Apparently he was supposed to be played by Willam Burroughs before he died. I believe this character was written for him
