Equalizer upgrade collab!
Просмотров 245Месяц назад
In this video, I assist Jesse from @Nomad Party Of 4, as he installed an upgraded equalizer kit on his tandem axle travel trailer. The job also included heavy duty spring shackles with wet bolts and bronze bushings. We had to use some rigging techniques to accurately align the axles during the assembly process.
Making a pool siphon

In this video, I make a siphon to drain the water off my pool cover using repurposed surplus pipe that began its life as a shipping container for steel tubing.

In this video, I design and build a detachable handle to make transporting my smoker much easier. Everything is made from surplus/scrap material and is of my own design.
2017 Fusion rear brakes and swollen lug nuts.
Просмотров 1995 месяцев назад
In today's video, I replace the rear brake pads on a 2017 Ford Fusion with the pushbutton start and electric parking brake. Part of the job was to replace the lug nuts because the pressed stainless steel caps swelled up and a common impact socket would not fit. The other important thing I learned was that you have to put the brake system into "maintenance mode" prior to doing any work. You'll a...

This is a saw that I got from a friend, and it needed a little AOCD help! I went from a 20" bar to a 28" bar with a skip tooth chain. A new OEM muffler, oil passage plug, and handle buffer plug were installed. Let me know in the comments if you've put a longer bar with skip tooth chain on your saw. Thanks for watching!

Preparing for winter snow plowing and M5660 oil change
I agree, you are an awesome GPA!
What a great grandpa!
Looks great 👍🏻
Wow that's clever!
The reason the pipe comes out of the connector is the hub of the connector is tapered
Looks like you have a career to fall back on, being a plumber!
Ingenius!
Brickets are. Poison do not use brickets
Why not wood putty?
Mud is cheap, plentiful, and super easy to sand when compared to wood putty.
@@AppliedOCD I make my own using the sawdust. Yes it takes longer to dry, but matches up better.
@@stacysu9131That will work fine in certain applications.
great tip!
fascinating
I was surprised that that kubota was able to lift it at the end.
No problem for the mighty Kubota!
Wow that's quite a difference thanks for sharing.
Is that a 7 or 8 foot cutter? Any issues in deep grass? Thanks
Land Pride RCD1884 twin spindle 7 foot cutter. The cutter has a steel cover across the discharge in the back. In heavy, wet grass, the clippings will build up and leave clumps.
@@AppliedOCD thanks for the reply. Awesome setup you have there!
Ive used a ms310 and a ms441c for years cuttin firewood and my 441 just died. Ive still got my 28" bar from my 441 so i may try this until i can afford a new larger saw. How did it do actually cutting with that bar on it? I usually run a 20" on mine and its always done well
wow - thank you. Maybe i should have read the manual.
I'll have to try this!
I never knew this! So cool
The generator ( part floating on top of fire) must be red hot before attempting flame adjustment. To help this out Set wick highest flame, even overturn the nob a bit. While doing this lift the generator up about a half inch. You will hear a fast hot flame. Shouldn't take but a minute Thursday for generator to glow red. Slowly lower generator if it smokes, just wait a little longer. Older units us to have a handle on the sidethat lifted generator for lighting. No idea why it was removed. BTW Yes to get unit setup you need to run it on high for about 10 minutes. This is to fully get the generator hot. After that you can lower wick and control the heat a bit. A little smoke wheN setting up is normal. I always set mine ( one of three I own) near an open the door, then move into garage once they full get hot. Even have used it in the house. Not suggest. But it smokeless and oderless once it fully hit. Don't let it run dry.....it destroys burnout the wick
Thx for the info!
funny thing is the instructions were right there on the bench Lol.. nice job tho ' ! my wich is very slightly higher on one side, talking just a tiny bit..makes it smoke. Will be taking some sharp scissors and making it perfect. if it doesnt run cleaner after I'll sell it for sure.
Unfortunately, the instructions didn't state to raise the wick before reinstalling the burner assembly onto the base.
You keep my grandma’s name out of your mouth….
I own 3 of the same heater and use them in my house all winter. You have to adjust the flame very little and it will burn clean for almost 12 hours. Call the number on the heater and ask them to send you the manual. My house has electric heat so these kerosene heater saves me quit a but of money! Also yiu have to dry burn the wick after every 3rd tank of fuel. Hope this helps you out.
dry burn ? as in let the tank run dry ?
We had one for a couple of years we used to heat the house in Seattle and never had a problem with it.
Is that Abe’s grandma chainsaw?
So cool!
You need to get a cab for that Kubota!
My OCD is now triggered wanting to know what it does...... Well head?
Yes!
That’s thing they used to pump wells with right
Correct.
Thanks that really helped me out, I'm Definitely subscribing!
Sure nice having a hydraulic back blade!
That’s what they did wrong probably and it wouldn’t raise high enough to burn clean .
Or it was never dry burned, which needs to be done after 3 fill ups.
Whoever owned this befor was burning it without the chimney. The wick only goes in one way and it doesn’t matter how high or low you have it.
I disagree and that's why it smokes!
Happy New Year!!!
Fixing the dog back to normal for Mom is priceless, however I think fixing the root cause being the CAT is what needs fixing...LOL gReat video!!
What’s with the chainsaw?
Stay tuned!!
He cuts his cookies in half with it
You need to test the centre of the wood not the end that has been wind swept and dryer than the centre. You only need to split a couple of pieces of the batch
@petebevan Follow up short coming soon!
I bet it burns either way though
Green wood will burn indeed, but you waste btu's cooking the water out of it first. Best practice is to split, stack and air dry to around 15% moisture content. Thanks for watching!
Great name for a repair channel.
We can rebuild him. We have the technology. We can make him better than he was. Better, stronger, faster.
The rare and beautiful putty butt birch beagle.
What range are you looking for?
Kiln dried lumber will stabilize in air to about 13-15%
Can you tell me why the flame is not up as high as it should be Sir after you light the flame ???
No he can’t i can tell he doesn’t know much about a kerosene heater he is learning. But the flame being low could be you have the wick low if you have the wick all the way up and the flame is low it could be a clogged wick or the wick has been burnt down to far either way it needs replaced.
Thanks@@wardraven8755
is the sleeve for the chainsaw an attachment or just a coincidental space?
I built the chain saw holder to fit in the loader bracket when the loader is removed for mowing.

Does this tractor even get used? Looks brand new off the lot!
