This is one of the most unique gobblers Gage has ever harvested. They originally thought this bird had no beard, but it turns out he has 3!

Probably to feed his family. Have you seen grocery store prices recently?
Up until the Second half of the 20th century, bear meat was a common part of an American diet along with mountain lion, beaver, etc. many people still hunt these animals for food it just isn't as mainstream as deer, ducks, hogs, or turkeys.

@@Smokey-88 haven't been able to eat it myself yet but I just started putting my name in for some tags in some northern states. Might take some years but I'm gonna have me a black bear roast yet lol
@For0489 I live in the Pacific Northwest. Years n years ago, my dad's stepdad was native and got to take him out on their turf, He drew upon a momma bear 400 yd away and knocked her down, 25-06, When they got to her, there were 2 cubs there, which would have died. They shot them too. Long story short, we have bear rugs 😁
