We originally thought it was 9 but it was 11 the last two taken down with a quick reload from my friend and I.
This is an extremely old video to even be commenting on it, but that's not a PEQ 15. That's an ATPIAL C. The PEQ 15 is significantly more powerful and has a focusable illuminator.
can't go wrong with either devices

quick and precise review. love it over something like t rex arms or garand thumb
You can go blind on ir lights and fake nods. Be careful

I got the zenitco perst 4 green+ bc it was an 18 mw vis laser not too mention a boosted ir light. Kinda wanted the perst 3 though for the illuminator but the splash was rough
Is the visible laser and the IR laser married ?
Does the placement of the battery compartment on the dbal cause problems? If you place it right up on the front sight will you need to take the dbal off and re-zero to change your battery?
Have you had any problems with the DBAK mount?
Thanks for insight. I purchased the DBAL-A3 for swat and was starting to have second thoughts. Its not as sleek and low profile as the other but until they come out with green laser to match DBAL-A3 that's what I will be running for swat & patrol.

How much is a fair deal for the A3?
How does the dbal a3 hold zero. I’ve heard they are pretty easy to lose their zero if they get bumped. Also is the ir Illuminator on the ATPIAL c bright enough to identify targets at 100 yards? Sorry for all the questions but I’m just trying to get into NV shooting for the first time and I want to get the best IR pointer/ Illuminator I can get!
You should probably get a PERST 3 or 4. LDI/Steiner mounts are hot garbage, so if you buy a DBAL I would recommend buying an aftermarket mount like one by ADM or LaRue.
DBALs fail and burn out more and that's DUE to the green lasers. Somehow the hours of usage are less. Plus from my experience in using both...the PEQ15 has easier ergonomics and more powerful IR;s
Are these for airsoft? Or can I use this on my ar 15?
luis romero I guess you can use them for airsoft but these are meant for real rifles
I really wish there is a lower end quality laser, like 300-600 range. I really wanted a laser on my rifle, but I don't want things like TLR-2 or X400. Plus I don't have NVGs, so... I guess I'll just get one of the DBALs that has only lasers, that seems to be cheaper
Look into the new Holosun IR lasers.
If you don't have NV then why would you need a laser? Use the sights or optic on your gun. In the visible spectrum that's way faster and easier than trying to hunt down a laser. Having a laser is really only needed when shooting at night with NV.
This is confusing. Is the PEQ 15 focusable or not?

You definitely have to sight in both lasers separately for the PEQ...hence the two windage and two elevation adjustments...

The PEQs lasers are slaved bro. You sight in the visible laser and the IR laser follows. The second windage and elev adjustments on the left are for the illuminator. So you can center the flood with your laser.

What light do you recommend to pair with this on a Daniel Defense MK 18 that you can pair with a dual pressure switch? Great video, and thanks.
JC PEREZ PEQ-15 if you build a full on Mk18 clone. You can use either a Surefire + SR07-D-IT dual switch or an Insight m3x + Insight dual switch which the latter is most commonly found on Mk18 Mod 1’s.

I like the features of the dbal more besides the laser color. But damn if the peq15 isn’t just sexy as fuck choices choices. I think peq sits better on the rifle as well.

Any thoughts on the DBAL D2 vs the A3? You seem to know what you're talking about.
sniperbob11 hey, I don't know too much about them but I would say your illuminator is going to be better but I would rather be able to activate it manually with a button on top instead of being limited to a switch.
I ordered the Dbal A3 as the atipal peq 15 was never a factor for reasons you pointed out in this video. I plan on also buying a mil spec pec 15 like you have in this video as well. It will not be easy getting the mil spec pec 15 hopefully I can find someone selling it on ebay.

You zero both of them with the black screw heads on both devices. The laser and ir are slaved so you zero your visible laser your ir will also be zeroed.

I absolutely love my ATPIAL-C (PEQ 15), but it's one flaw. Is the IR illuminator. Is sucks straight ass. Being fixed, it's almost useless. It's power is terrible at 80% of the distances ive tried using it at. I've supplemented with a Surefire M600V. Never looked back. I don't even bother with the PEQs IR Illuminator. The Laser and IR laser are fantastic. Is it worth the 1300$. Nope. If I didn't need the lower ride height. I'd go for the DBAL. If the DBAL had a more centralized toggle button. It would win hands down.

Have you tried weaving the back attachment through the molle webbing on your vest? It might help with the up and down sliding when you draw a mag.

They are that. I happened across this one by accident. You can't by them new so you have to find a used one from somebody that bought it new and wants to sell it.

Jozef Nagy They only sell them new to LEO or Mil because it uses a Class 3 laser.
yeah i read up on it and you even need to order one at the department level. Couldn't even just use your mil or leo ID to buy one.
Question: Can you connect a Surefire Scout light to the DBAL A3 using the "Y" connector that comes with the A3 or does it only works with Steiner's proprietary flashlights? If this is possible, what are the advantages / disadvantages? Great review! Thanks.
Hey! I'm pretty sure it will not. Your options for that will be a surefire dual pressure switch, (which will be a little loose on your d-bal and will have to be modified slightly to work well) or the new dual pressure switch that TNVC is releasing because of the for mention issues with the surefire switch and the d-bal. thanks!

I didn't weight them but if you they type that counts ounces instead of pounds they I may check their website and see if they list the weight. I can not tell a difference just holding them.
I haven't had any problems with mags backing out but I will say the metal mags do pull out easier than the plastic pmags do but they still hold the metal mags tight.
comparing to HSGI Taco is it lighter?. I looking to upgrade my system with these.
Have you experienced problems with the mags backing out? I've heard of thers having that issue with some magazines, during running.
