      It was a summer replacement show; a show with a short run during the summer months, when regular shows were on hiatus. If a summer replacement show got high enough ratings, it would come back as a regular show.

    He does spot on impressions of many performers. Except for Mason and Hackett he chose impressions here i never heard before and which were not good ones.

    I miss all the old guys, the seventies were great, the Duke looks unwell ,it must have been close to his time, I recommend you read his epitaph, it's quite profound ,it wasn't meant to be a political statement but with what is going on in the world today I believe it's quite poignant,

    Just loved the hissing "ssss" of Byner's John Wayne impersonation. All of his best impersonations were ingeniously absurd, a quality that not many "more accurate" impressionists could master.

  • @humnmum
    @humnmum 2 года назад

    Of course, not being spot-on was an essential part of his act- stretching the impression where it didn't want to go.

    That's the VERY best Crosby I ever heard! John Byner nailed it. He should've been as big as Rich Little. I like that the real Crosby had a sense of humor too.
