Hello Keith another great topic today on your channel. I was wondering what cheats did you do with your boots and uniform for upcoming inspections and did they work. Also what happened when you were found out or your fellow recruits were caught.

Sometimes when i sit and study the history of nations and empires and the many wars on this planet, then look at weapons and bullets and how they work and how efficient they are in taking lives, then i sit and think about how many MEN, we have lost in wars, that have just DIED at the tip of a spear or the strike of a bullet, young men at that, GONE, and many of them for nothing, ukrainians - russians, blacks - whites, arabs - chinese. dead.... nothing significant was achieved, nothing significant that means anything in the grand context of our purpose on this planet as SOULS/SPIRITS having a human experience, was achieved, they missed out on all the moments many of us men got to experince, died in a puddle of their own p*** for nothing...

Hi Keith,No sensible, right minded person likes a war. When I look back over my life/ military life, the wars i have witnessed and been involved in , were mainly a religious wars . My Father told me when I was a kid.." Show me religion and I will see a war" How true is that , in this supposedly " Modern " world. Every war , killing , scrimmage, reported in the news involves RELIGION!. Even the Ukraine war is a sort of religious war, Putin trying to set himself up as somekind of God ,a super power , who must be obeyed and ruled by him ? ?

The Mojo's. I think they were MSO's Mixed Services Organisation. I served in the RCT from 1969 for 22yrs. The only ear defenders we had were the spongy yellow things. As a rad op listening to HF static for hours on end did not help the situation. To be honest though, I would gladly do it all over again! Happy days.

Don't worry about the beret thing. Used to see a guy walking round my town with a REME beret on and swing a silver topped cane level to the ground (much like an RP). Totally harmless. Would I wear my beret again - nah, left that chapter in my life behind.

The Average human being detests war, some soldiers or mercenarys love it because its all they know, the goverments however see it as a tool just like the soldiers lives and dont let them fool you otherwise. WAR IS A MERE CONTINUATION OF POLICY BY OTHER MEANS. why they cant just talk is beyond me but instead they choose to annihilate millions of lives even today we still have war and lives are still being lost in the thousands upon thousands and for what... if every country learned to trust and disbanded their armed forces there would be no more war simple as that but until humanity learns to trust and the goverments learn be in harmony then the sacrifice must still be paid.

I was a Cadet in early 1970s and we fired Bren Gun and the No4 303 and we never had anything when i joined Junior leaders we had the ear plug things when i rejoined in 1988 we had the green ear defenders I know I am Deaf especially on one side is it from service i dont know

Funny you should bring up the film Threads. I was only talking about that film to my 17 year old son a fee weeks ago. I watched it as a young teenager in 84 when it was released by the BBC. Can't imagine why my parents let me watch it 😂.... Terrifying film and I thought about for years after....
