      It’s just a look, the aluminum tip/rail will provide some protection against damage in those areas(someone hitting your tip/tail in the lift line). Great question on the butter-ability. I didn’t have any problem with buttering around or doing tripods. So no issues there.

    • @AMac815

However, for carving and stability with the added ability to pop off of anything and feel fully confident I choose the TF. @@oldguysriptoo Thanks so much for replying! I don't currently have a board and am searching for my first. I have went snowboarding for the first time Feb. 2023 and fell in love with it. My rental was a burton (for beginners) board. I was able to connect my turns by the end of the week. I will be returning this year and would like a board that I can grow with.

      @@vajona2495 sounds like a great start! If you’re wanting a Korua, I’d go with the Otto. You may also want to look at Never Summer’s Easy Rider, very beginner friendly.

    Im between this and a gnu antigravity. Mid to upper intermediate old dude; what do think. ? i . Had a board that busted the icy cover chunder. 👍 Not a park , icy slushy mountain.

      Great choices either way, the Antigravity is a little softer so if you want a softer flex I’d recommend that. Otherwise either board would be a great choice!

    I have this board and I would agree with everything you’ve said. It is a blast but you better bring your A game. The float in pow is what surprised me the most about this board.

    Hi good sir. Thanks for your hard work. Warca or Korua Otto for a daily driver?

    • @oldguysriptoo
      @oldguysriptoo Год назад

      That’s a tough one! I really like both of these boards and you can’t go wrong with either. The Otto is a little softer so it probably depends on what you like to ride. If you ride park, I’d probably go with the Otto. If you are riding big mountain steeps, I’d lean towards the Warca.

      @@dretjoe both are easy riders but I feel like the chatter from a softer board might bother your knees. I was comfortable on the Warca in just a few turns.

    How would I know where the centered stance is? No reference marks on my wizard stick

    • @oldguysriptoo
      @oldguysriptoo Год назад

      Good question, you have 8 inserts on the front and six on the back. Take the middle 2 on each ( starting at the 4th on the front and the 3rd on the back) this should give you a centered stance.

    I like mine, but feel like it’s the slowest of my boards on fast groomers, or whenever I have to traverse. I feel like my jones mountain twin 159w is better everywhere.

    • @TeeFunkable
      @TeeFunkable 3 месяца назад

      No surprises there really as the jones arguably has better base, more of actual, functional camber and less of unnecessary crap on the topsheet.

    Any thoughts or comparisons of this vs the Proto FR? I'm stuck between the 2. I demod the FR and it was amazing but I like the looks of the ultra. I mostly do trees and blue black groomers with some steep and icey conditions sometimes. NS said they are basically the same board but still curious. Any thoughts or suggestions?

      They are both great options for the type of riding you will be doing, in my opinion I would prefer the ultra for any park riding over the FR. Otherwise I love them both too, and it’s a never summer so it can be ridden most anywhere 😊
