Quite a amazing piece of music and the effect it has in this particular scene. Watching the way Brian Dunahee and Dee Wallace listened and reflected in their own ways while Dudley played this was perfect

Im not a pianist but having been through something similar to his character I cannot express how perfect that piece is in conveying the journey of emotion that he felt. To write something so musically descriptive without needing words is incredible.

I remember an interview where Henry Mancini was asked by dudley Moore if he could make a few changes to the song and this is the version he did. They worried about whether or not the audience would want to hear 4 minutes of piano. Dudleys version could of been 5 minutes and not one should would have complained. He played a masterpiece within a movie. A very bright man indeed. .R.i.p Dudley your comedy and music ability was pure genius. ❤

Blake Edward’s asked Mancini if they should keep the whole scene in as played as it is long. He said absolutely. Glad he did. A classic

Absolutely hauntingly beautiful scene....dialogue not really even needed to get the emotions across.....just three people.....raw emotion coming from the quietness and simplicity of the scene....a wonderful moment

Lol, did you notice that Mika changed her mind about her favorite way of making them grow? and it’s so much easier and convenient. I just went ahead and go’ogled the latest post by Mika Klopsworth, I was impressed when they increased by 2 cups in weeks by just tweaking what I eat and doing some very simple exercises.

I just read this: "Moore died on the morning of 27 March 2002 as a result of pneumonia, secondary to immobility caused by his PSP, in Plainfield, New Jersey, at the age of 66. Rena Fruchter was holding his hand when he died; she reported his final words were "I can hear the music all around me." ' I can't think of a better way to go. I'm still crying. ❤

Watch Mancini and his orchestra play it on RUclips, then watch this, and one can really appreciate how Moore took this melody and made it into another piece of art. Interpretation, not imitation, is what is missing from today’s music.
