Such a cool pretty girl! Man Memphis had it going on.
Back in a time when music was worth listening to.
51 years ago and it still sound excellent.
Ndver heard of them. I loved pat benetar and patty smyth and quarterflash.
2024 still listening and loving it. Takes me away to another time and place
Brings back all of the. memory at going to the club's to see The Breaks.Such a great band. I lost my album when I moved to Tampa.Eveyone in the band was so talented..I remember moving right after they opened for Hall and Oates.I like watching these video's.All four together, really good band.
I finally found you guys! Oh , so sing and sing. Take me home.❤
Still in my heart.
I will forever love the hell out of this song. Pat Taylor wasn't nearly as known as she should have been.❤❤❤
any cool soul would write the lyrics for me? i cant pick it fully, thanks!!
I saw them several times in the very early 80s at Solomon Alfred's and High Cotton. So much talent in one band, plus a beautiful lead singer with a mesmerizing stage presence. Pat was the perfect compliment to Suzanne. Russ and Rob Caudill were such a tight rhythym section. I used to try and flirt with Suzanne as she was singing and she would wink at me and I thought I had died and gone to heaven...but, alas...it was for naught. She was in love and married to the most handsome guy in Memphis who was also great guitarist. I had NO chance LOL! Those nights in Memphis were pure magic. You had to have been there. So sorry and sad about losing Pat so soon. I have read and heard that Pat & Suzanne's son Paul, is a chip off the old block and inherited their respective talents. It couldn't have turned out any better. I miss seeing them so much and hope all is well and their music is thriving. I'm sorry I can't remember their keyboard player's name at this moment...Tom???
yes they were!
OMG thanks so much for posting this! And for seemingly combing performances in order to create a whole video!
shes so beautiful wtf
So beautiful, and the song too.
My favorite Memphis band ever. Those were the glory days.
Puts me in my “feels”! Reminds me of my long lost youth! 😥
This is a great song and they all just Kill It !!!!!
Fantastic then and now! A Should have been!
Love this. Never heard it until now. Unbelievable how songs get turned away from main stream radio
💜🕊️
🥰✨💜
Prophetic lyrics in a beautiful song. Perfect.
I have always said that this is one of the best songs ever written. Suzannes voice has the perfect tone and sultryness to express the emotions of the lyrics and Pat had the tasteful riffs that made it all work together seamlessly. I always wondered after they finished recording this song if they realized the masterpiece they had created. I hope so. Peace and love my friends.
Got Susanne’s autograph when she sang at the Memphis Italian Festival. Was able to buy their CDs. I spent many nights in bars listening to her sing….sure there were others in the band, did not notice. Still love this song.
I went to their release party concert for this album at the Peabody Hotel.
This is my favorite song from their "Scene From A Distance" album.
Just found this LP , killer stuff - reminds me of Patty from Scandal ! Now i need to Grab that DRAMA LP ! ;)
Timeless ..i hear this song still..and have my album..🌟
Thanks Pat Taylor, Susanne & the breaks 💖💖💖
Amazing ❤❤❤
Pat Taylor and susanne played guitar at my mothers memorial service in 2013 right after id played a precious piano piece by Brian Crain called A Simple Life which I had also played for my mom before her passing. I'll never forget that special night. music is what life sounds like through eternity.I love you music all music has a spiritual message it is a language of the mystery of life.
Holy tokes that woman is a mystical 80's goddess. I actually met her at my aunts house in memphis they re best friends. Susanne was dominating back then Wow. Sucks for me I missed out on those days:( Whys the entire clip so fucken blurry lol
I love this group .i think it was so hard for them with scandal being out there..at the same time ..she wants you ... will always be captivating you thru and thru..🙏🏻
One of the best Female rock singers I ever heard. And Pat Taylor excellent musician & composer. Their works in DRAMA and THE BREAKS were just fantastic. R.I.P Pat
Wow these guys were great should ya e been huge
Always thought she had a fantastic voice. Wow.
When I first heard this song back in 1983 I thought it was a "new" Fleetwood Mac song. The lead singer sounds amazingly like Stevie Nicks in this rocker.
God she was beautiful. Aaaaaand what an awesome album.
:^) Luv luv luv
this album is now on iTunes. I just downloaded it.
Absolutely awesome.
Such a nice find. I still have this album on vinyl and even saw the band play in Houston in 1983 in some cheesy nightclub. Great show, though.
I also went to school with Pat Taylors nephew Bubba Taylor.
They lived across from me on Hadley in 1980. I had a garage bnd and they would hear us playing...Pat came over and invited me to come over and jam with him and the band. Fun times...sad to hear Pat died.
Everythings gonna work out!
Great video but Susanne Taylor will make an ok video great! Beautiful lady with amazing talent. So sad about Pat. He was too young & had so much more of his & Susanne's magic to share. Prayers for Susanne Jerome Taylor. RIP Pat
Love that song and video ! That voice is unforgettable ! Glad I ran into this video again after all these years.
I weep..their love story. Is timeless. Amazing song. Friends of my dear Harold Bleu LaRue Harrington.💘
A simply epic AOR ballad
Pat Taylor passed away Feb. 2015 of cancer, Susanne stills performs around Memphis. Rest in Peace Pat
