Skirti g board looks great! Curious why you are putting up wallpaper instead of painting the walls?

Probably too late, but if that’s genuine knotty pine on the ceiling, and if it wasn’t properly sealed originally (and why would they?) you’ll need to give it a coat of Kilz (or whatever equivalent is available to you in the UK, but Kilz is good stuff & I wouldn’t use anything else if it was available) or those knots will eventually bleed through whatever you paint it with.

Great progress! That new wallpaper is quite charming. Having a mate that’s a joiner is a huge help, I’m sure. I was about to offer the use of my wee pickup truck to help take all that laminate to recycle - but then I remembered I’m in a different country. 😂

Those colors are synonymous with the 60s and early 70s. Very neutral earth tones. If you threw up some macrame, hanging plants, and some orange and red furniture you'd be propelled back to the groovy days of yesteryear. Mind you, some things are better off leaving in the past. Looking great Tony! 👍

Keep up the good work, Tony! As you peel back the layers, it’s fascinating to see the difference in building materials and techniques across time (not to mention different countries) - though that mustard yellow and swamp green seem to have been universal back in the 60s…

If the bulk of the paper is off and there is just lining paper or thin paper a spray down with warm water and fairy liquid left to sit for a few mins will come straight off and minimises any blown plaster. We've just stripped my mum's entire flat which was top to bottom woodchip 😅

Not sure if you have Plasma donating places there. We have companies here we donate "sell" plasma too. We get $400 -$500 tax free a month for donating 2 times a week. CSL, BIO Life are a couple of the popular ones here.
