Zagreus does know about Persephone at the start of the game! The sequence where you find the note is presented as a flashback! It's supposed to be a reveal to the audience, but she is the reason that Zagreus has started trying to break free from the beginning.

they and spearmen have a very fast attack, so sometimes it's better to wait for them to attack and attack then

I’m pretty sure nyx helped when she escaped and set some sort of spell so she’d stay hidden from Olympus. That’s why she stayed in her garden

Depends on boons, but in any case based on my experience on hell mode (fresh file too, you can check my 68th attempt, it's on channel I suppose) using dash, attack and special right way allows to almost have no animation between, or at least it feels so

@@FredMaverik The Olympians drew lots to divide the realm, Hades ended up in hell. Ergo, the Olympians were the reason Hades wound up in the underworld.

These bombs are usually not a problem so when I dash into them I expect to delfect and not take damage Also I recently made few attempts to beat first run in hell mode and it's hell indeed

I just planned to continue file once I managed to win in first run, so I knew that if I make it then darkness will be useful

There is an incredible video about depth of Hades' dialogue "The System Behind Hades' Astounding Dialogue" I wholly recommend it - made appreciate the Hades much more, and alter playstyle to try and get as many interesting interactions as possible : )

It seems her dualogue after successful run has bigger priority than other I guess. Like on these reddit posts where people use keepsakes for specific god but then there's Poseidon because it's some tutorial

I thought Hades himself had something to say for a first run fight. Guess not.

well... im pretty sure Zagreus doesnt know about Persephone during first run, so they didnt account for all possibilities :D

thanks, but it requires good luck or to be pro in this game, I had luck. But hell mode is much harder so even luck didn't save me in most attempts I had recently Also I have no idea what videos I can do that would be interesting

Kami already gave answer Player knows about Zagreus' mother from flashback, so Zagreus already knows about her when he starts first attempt

Your explanations are not adding up. Until Zagreus found the letter, he only knew Nyx as his mother. The letter moment only happens during the resting sequence, which doesn’t happen until some runs later.

@@Arkl1te Clearly a flashback, the black and white shouuld havee been enough to show that, he rests and is simply dreaming of when he found the letter. you can also tell this because he calls hades his father but at the start of the game is already calling Nyx by her name, which would not be the case if he thought she was his mother at the beginning of the game. the game starts after zagreus finds the truth out about his mother and has decided he's going to escape the underworld for that sole purpose.
