Hey mate, yea it’s a really fun place for waves. That spot is Imsouane. It does get pretty crowded so not really a secret spot but super fun. Enough waves for everyone.

Luckily at the stern there was just enough water to do a quick turn on my tender. So I threw a rope to them. Then circled in and tried to time it in between when the waves werent thrashing the boat around. It was lucky just how the boat lay. If there was a big rock at the stern they would have had to jump and swim which would have been very dangerous… quite lucky really..

my guess is inattention otherwise they would have taken down their sails and called out on the radio sooner.

Yea I don’t want to point fingers cause we are only human but I personally think it was just that they set a course and didn’t take into account leeway/ current as it was almost like traversing a river on this day. Didn’t want to ask to many questions though as I felt bad enough for them as it was! I don’t believe it was anything mechanical. Still feel so gutted for them!

Thanks your support Rob, yea it was pretty hectic as I reckon they probably had another few minutes before the waves threw the boat on its side on the rocks. Definitely something to beware of out there!

That’s awesome to hear! Haha there were still goats but they have moved on to living out of the bins. Yea we also had pretty marginal feeling stomachs most of the time, think it may have been the water they washed the food in. But the waves certainly made up for it! Hey! Good question, so when we were in Gibraltar we made a plan that we would both do every certificate so that we had the best chance of getting a job at the end. Then we put up online profiles on sites like Crewfinder and Crewbay etc. to try approach people. But in the end we just got lucky and we got called by an agent who said we did fit what they needed. I guess we were also looking for Crewed cat jobs so that we could work together and manage the boat ourselves.... Hope that helps :) Thanks for the comment

@@MrTHECLASSICPRO We are working in St Vincent and the Grenadines, so we did need to get a work permit (our employer organised) and that was it :) No B1 at this stage, but we would need for USVI's etc

Hi mate, yea it was Anchor. First swell of the season! We were in the white apartments to the right as you drive in to Tahgazout (closest to Anchor in Taghazout). They were epic and right on the water! Hope you have an unreal time! It is such a cool spot!

Yea it was an awesome place! We loved to be back in the hot sun and waves. The Bongo is still in Spain and we are now in the Caribbean. Kate and I are now in the Caribbean and living back on a yacht for the next 6 months here!

Cheers Neville. Yea clocked up around 10 knots of boat speed which was nice. Yea it is certainly different to NZ. Most marinas are bang in the centre of town which is nice for an after sail beer!
