If you have it upside down you will get it dirty and wont run once full contaminated. When having the filter facing down you can see ill the contamination and not to get a new filter

The filter don't go anyway. It flow in and debris sink to the bottom, so you can see it. Always buy filter with arrow and see through.

Filter doesn't work either way. The filter media is pleated in order to optimize filtration surface. The flow should always be from outside of pleated filter media toward inner filter media. That's also allows you to see when debris is accumulated in the the outside of filter media pleats. If installed backwards the debris will accumulates inside the pleated filter media where you are not able to see it

You could have good compression while still having a scored piston making it hard to start or not start at all. Ran into one just last week. 100 psi but unit had a new carburetor, new ignition coil, new fuel lines filter and fresh fuel. Obviously getting air, pulse line still connected but the piston was scored. Swapped out the piston and cylinder and it fired right up.

This is just a jumpstart and also if you didnt know this DO NOT DO IT. Batteries pop and throw shrapnel as well as lead acid. If your battery is bad get a new one or help from someone that knows what they are doing. You should have mentioned to check for swelling and leaking first. If the battery is damaged physically you may damage good battery or worse you must physically inspect, check voltage with multimeter before during and after on BOTH batteries. Monitor as it charges for swelling and hot spots as in 1 spot on one of the batteries is hotter than the rest of the case and listen for sizzling/crackling. If either battery gets hot to the touch disconect immediately and stay away for a while as it cools down because those are signs it is about to pop
