Snapping drills for football centers.
Thanks coach!
Great instruction, Coach. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I’m in 10yu and my hands are to small so I have to use 2 hands
Can you do low snap please because I’m having trouble with getting it to my quarterback’s chest
Thank you
This is a great video! Especially for beginner centers and coaches. Thank you for sharing it.
The kid will is good at his job
Awesome! Was able to fix my centers snap in 5 minutes after watching this video.
That’s awesome !!!
Excellent video to help new centers!!! Well done sir
Glad it was helpful!
This was great
Awesome !!
What about if it’s too low?
Hey there if just consistently low, and not rolling back , he could be just flipping the ball back instead of snapping. Make sure his arm is straight with elbow pocket forward and snapping harder and faster - please see my other video
Thanks for the tips coach. My 15 year old plays center and he may have to play some Varsity football next year as a Sophomore. He need to get his shotgun snaps down. I believe this video will help alot.
Very helpful, my son is a 7yr old center who had the to high issue .
Thanks coach for sharing this info!
Any time!
My son plays center and this video will definitely help make him better
Thank you for these tips 👍🏾 I understand the mechanics more why the pigskin veers to left/right Regards from south san diego bandits
Right on
What do I do if it’s 2 low
Send me video
Thank you coach I just started center for my freshman team this year and I've never played center before and you've really helped me with my snaps but can you do a video over two handed snaps because my center coach has us do two handed
My son snaps with two hands....One, his hands are small and doesnt get a good gripe on the ball, Two, his thumb gets torn up from the laces and refuses to wear a glove. We use the finger tip method..
Very helpful ty
Great video..... question ... do have any drills that work with keeping the wrist from turning.... my son is on 9u and having trouble with wild snaps .....
What I’ve found works best is the scoot drill (first video) to get them thinking about snapping with whole body not the wrist . As they get bigger and stronger you can’t even notice hip movement when they snap
Thank you for this video Im trying to fix my snaps and this helped
Glad I could help
I was just asked to help coach my sons little league team. He’s going to be a center this season. And this helps a lot thank you for making and sharing this video.
My son is playing his 2nd season at center. He moved up to 10u this season and his coaches want to utilize the shotgun snap. He is doing pretty well, mostly, but his shotgun snaps go high 1/5 snaps. His posture is exactly like you demonstrated. He grabs the ball and then gets in position. His butt is getting too high. His knees are over his toes, etc…We will be working on the things you showed to correct these bad habits. I never played center so I needed some pointers to help him. Thanks a bunch for posting this video.
Great to hear ! It’s gonna get better with reps !!!
Very helpful thank you *
Glad it was helpful!
This video helps so much I used to snap to the right every play, but now it is great thank you again
Great to hear!
I want to join the team and be quarterback because I'm good at quarterback
Awesome stuff I am coaching a 9 year old team and this was a super big help to easily explain it to my kids.
Thanks so much keep after it !!
What about snapping it in the ground everytime? My son is center on our 7u team, he's like rolling it to the QB everytime. He's only 7, I get that but how can he get that snap up?
He is probably releasing to early and maybe try working on his stance
@@user-mh7ds7zl2d appreciate the tips sir thank you!
Hey there ! I did not include that in the video but it could be that he is raking the ball on the ground bc he’s got the ball too far forward. Try moving the ball under his eyeballs in his stance.
@@chrishann7171 thank you!
Sent this to a new center who never played a down of football at 11 years old and he’s progress very well
That’s awesome
Thanks for the center position videos, Do you have any tips for center when they have aggressive nose tackle / LB coming hard at snap other then just more experience?
Yeah get the non-snap hand first, give a little ground, get help from guard, coach needs to be changing the snap count too
Amazing video, my son just started at Centre and was having difficulty with the 3 main errors until he watch this video. Thank you!!
Awesome !!! Keep it up !!
As a center struggling with shotgun snaps this helps a lot
You don't know what God is doing but someday you will know repent and turn away from your sin and follow Jesus Christ and put your faith in him and he loves you and so do I no matter what your going through God is right there with you no matter what you did or do he loves you
Thank you for video I play semi pro football and coach told me to practice being center so I'm watching this video over n over then doing drills outside thank you
Awesome Anthony- thanks
Your welcome anytime
the boys looked good chris snapping the ball.
Thanks man! I coach OL but have never ever played center. Definitely helped!!
Thanks James ! Keep up the leg strength as a base !
My son just started his first year playing and these are excellent fundamentals I can work on with him. Great video!
Awesome get that leg strength dialed in!
Don’t concentrate on the ball nose, the ground is only providing a stop from the arm swinging backward. Once you start thinking about the ball tilt, you start bending your wrist which gets yiu into trouble. Should completely eliminate your wrist
Should the ball be nose down or nose up or does it matter?
It should be up it’s easy
