I prefer snap on But my Matco rep comes every Monday, no matter what and is great with warranties. So he gets most of my business

For me, both. It depends on what. I have both brands wrenches, sockets, and boxes. I only have snapon electric tools. And then I do have some harbor freight sockets because sometimes we break things or need something really quick and can't wait to get to either

Snap-ons made in China bullshit, matco is rebranded made in China bullshit. At least snap-on still makes their own tools, doesn't buy other people's tools and rebrand them and upcharge 200%. Neither of them are the best, they're outclass by a lot of different brands, and a wise man once said by every tool you need in the cheapest one available, and when it breaks by the better expensive one, because now you know that that's the one you use. Fuck spending 10 grand on a set of basic tools, when you get that same basic set for a thousand bucks from harbor freight, and then buy each individual tool as it breaks from your preferred color scheme of Chineseum crap.
