10 years is not long enough for car seats. Also, this video is very misleading by saying that the cow hide is a waste of resources. When it is the opposite. Cows are not raised JUST for the leather. The skin/hide is collected when the beef is processed. Otherwise, it would just be discarded. The tanning processed is quite definitely mostly done with the old vegetable tanning method. Nothing harsh. Innovation is key. I will be looking forward to seeing when else this company comes up with.

Learned about this a couple years ago and I'm surprised this hasn't spread further. Southern Texas and Arizona here in the USA has plenty of cactus, too, so there's easily room to have more cactus farms out here specifically for sourcing cactus leather.
