San Francisco Orchid Show February 2013
Rest in peace Bobby Allison
I still like watching these videos even tho I've seen them a thousand times , the stories and memories, these drivers and owners made racing fun ,now days its not worth watching
Watching this now in 2024, and realizing that what is wrong with NASCAR now is, we don't have these tough folks with a bullshit mentality,
Check out whose rainbow colored car is looming in the back!
46 minutes in, now that's funny...
Nascar today really needs to listen to these days....
The bondy long stories are gold too! Especially the one with him going to the accountants office to pick up his 150$ expense check which was quite a bit of cash back then and sees a guitar at a pawn shop he likes and spends the whole damn thing on that guitar!!!😂😂 then Cale bails him out of a speeding ticket because he didn’t have 20 dollars on him!!! So few months go by and bondy leaves a 20 dollar sack of Pennie’s on cales porch to pay him back with😂😂 little stories like that are hilarious to me
Fantastic
No 19 year old kids in this group.
Not A Word From David Pearson Or Cale Or Jr ... Wtf ...
Watch the first 3 episodes, plenty from Yarborough and Pearson. Why in the hell would they have Dale Jr in this group? It's 1998.
@@lescook9021 Jr = Junior Johnson ... THAT'S Why 👀.
@@danielmoose1273 Again, watch the first 3 episodes. All three in those
@@lescook9021 Yeah, I Understood You The First Time.
@@danielmoose1273 Well, you seem slow, watching the 4th and last video, while wondering where everyone is, when there are 3 more hours of video.
OMG ! OMG !! 😱 NEVER HEARD OF THIS !! Buddy Baker here !!! Made me cry !!! Talking about Buck Brigance!! You know Buddy and Buck were personal friends of mine !! Loving this !!!!
DW always has to be talking...
7:24
Dick Beatty reminds me of an auto mechanics teacher in the south back in the 70s.
these guys here are the REAL drivers back in the days
Help at the front
DW Ned Jarrett Dave Marcis Richard Childress Harry Gant Bobby and Donnie Allison Red Farmer Steve Waid Leonard Wood Eli Gold Are the only ones still alive
Now we need a new one with the legends from the 80s and 90s
Thank you for sharing these tapes!
These videos are Gold and a treasure for NASCAR. These are the men who made Nascar and Stock car racing great.
Crazy Red Farmer at 91 is still racing. This man is a legend.
These Vids Are Awesome. Speaking of the best times in the Nascar.
The best ever
its wierd that Dale isnt on here, especially when this was made back in 1998 for the 50th anniversery
This series is utterly wonderful. Try to imagine 20 years from now or even now and they gathered the next generation for a talk. It would be “we were playing this video game aaaand..”. boring. Too bad they didn’t give us the R rated get together. THANK YOU for this HISTORIC post.
honestly they could do another one with the guys that ran during the 80s and 90s and it would still just be as good. in the 2000's is when it got all mandated
@@cool3865 id love to get a story out of Jeff Gordon about the first time he met his sponsor…Dupont. a lovely pairing. By the 90s the pilots were mostly married men who toted their families around, everything was much more regimented. poor southern boys were pretty much replaced with rich mens kids. beer cans and liquor bottles in hand were widely replaced with video game controllers lol.
0:0:0 - 1:02:29 is GOLD. 1:02:30 to the end is Platinum!
I’m a 50 year nascar fan who has watched every video that every one of these men were involved in, thousands of hours on you tube, but always skipped this series. Why I have NO idea, I guarantee I’ll be rewatching this many times.
No Tom PISTONE?
No Pettys?
Hard to believe Red was only about halfway through his racing career at this point.
This is awesome. I just wish Dale Senior was there😢. Can you imagine what he would say? Lol.
If these boys even knew how terrible a president Carter was and how much of a precursor to socialism that he was ...
These guys are the pioneers. Back when NASCAR was a great
My husband loved this
I love listening to all these legends. Red Farmer is living history. His stories are priceless. Red l would bet he has raced more laps in races car than any one. He would race anything, modified, late models, sportsman, go cart, NASCAR. He is the man !
All the NASCAR legends in one place. Very cool. I wish Richard Petty would have been there. I’m feeling old now. Barney Halls radio 📻 voice was awesome ,before racing was live on tv 📺. Brings back great memories with my childhood.
22:35 Amen! Spot on point that is even more relevant today! Daytona & Talladega are performance capped tracks, you just need to endure until 10 to go and hope you survive the final wreck that will happen. Nobody can do anything before that anyway to get an edge to win.
Loved hearing the old stories. Please make more like this . Before they are all gone. My hats off to all of you .
Any idea what year this was recorded ?
This is real good
32:38 48:37

4:30 5:43 5:44
Sadly, many of them have passed away.
Always love listening to "Jaws" Waltrip.
Old School NASCAR people are always a joy to listen to.
LOT of talent in that room. True Legends of the sport.
Red talking bout single lug wheel
Eli Gold! Voice of the ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE!!! Man so many of these great legends are not with us anymore. Sad 😭😭
This is how guys talk 😎
