Our camping trip in our Ember 22ETS to Johnston Canyon, near Banff Alberta. It's a beautiful campground and hike. I suggest you check out the falls during the week. We went on a Saturday and it was crowded. Still worth it though! 00:00 Johnston Canyon Campground 02:04 Hike to Johnston Canyon Falls 03:14 Upper Falls 04:17 Inkpots 09:05 Castle Mountain Filmed in 4K HDR

THIS is Why We Bought a BRAND NEW Trailer - Ember E-Series 22ETS

We loved our old camping trailer. It was small, light and easy to tow. But we wanted to upgrade and the Ember 22ETS checked all the boxes. Here's our first video! We will be posting videos that you should find helpful. How to setup your solar system, what lithium battery to buy and where to mount it, and so much more. Do us a favour and share this video. Please subscribe too! Thanks! If you’re ...
When we are asked to add a lithium battery (LiFePO4) to an E-Series trailer, we install it under the bed similar to what you've done here.
@@EmberRecreationalVehicles It’s the best spot for it 👍
Been waiting on this video as I have a 2025, 22ETS on order and wanting to do the same but with a 100 Ah battery. Thanks!
@@josephbraz9593 Glad I could help. I would consider going more than 100 Ah. The 12V refrigerator uses a lot of energy, especially if you’re in and out of it a lot when it’s hot in the summer. 🍻
@ OK, I returned my 100 Ah Battle Born and ordered a 200 Ah Redodo for half the price. We’ll see how it goes. I know I give up some features, but at that price difference, so what?
@@josephbraz9593 they have a good warranty too. Good call, I’d say!
Wow Very nice
This is a great video. We ordered a 22ETS and awaiting delivery. We definitely want to upgrade batteries to Lithium and install under the bed. Did you post video on how you installed Li battery? We did the solar package, so hopefully simple install for Li battery and smart shunt. look forward to seeing your video!
@@user-dp8gi4xb9o Thanks 👍 I still need to make that video! It was a matter of lowering the underbelly material near the front of the trailer, rerouting the positive cable and breaker to the under bed storage and finding a location on the frame to attach the ground cable that was closer to the battery as the cable was too short.
Did you put the new chain on that I gave you?
@@christinecaville8539 still in the works haha
Fergus’s rain jacket 😂
@@christinecaville8539 that’s a Costco XL haha. It’s for XL small dogs?
Nice video
@@christinecaville8539 Thanks :)
Great times with your Ember! Thanks for sharing this video!
@@EmberRecreationalVehicles Thanks for watching 👍
Hi Jason, I’m looking at the same trailer. What has your experience been like as far as build quality?
@@rameusunlimited1561 Good build quality overall and were pretty happy so far. There were a few things that were missed in quality control: Furnace vents close when it’s running (I fixed them open with zip ties) Screws holding the fridge into the wood frame were put in at a poor angle and missed the wood (I fixed that too) The floor has a strange soft spot that I need to get looked at under warranty this fall (I think it’s just the linoleum not glued down properly) A few other minor things that should have been addressed in the post delivery inspection (fresh water overflow hose not routed out through the underbelly, door latch screw protruding and making the entry door hard to close, furnace tape intended to block off a vent was loose and hot air was blowing under the sink, etc)
Have you had any issues now that you've had it a bit longer?
@@billhughes4731 Mostly minor things like loose screws, furnace vents stuck closed. My main concern is there is quite the soft spot in the floor near the kitchen. Our dealership is going to look at it at the end of camping season.
I have the same jacks. Great idea for the clip.
@@wannabefulltimers Thanks. Easy fix!
I bet we have some chain for you
So flimsy
@@christinecaville8539 I’d say! Safety hazard
Buy a 5500 up is best 😊
I am looking at this trailer. I like the functionality. What is your tow vehicle? looking to tow with a half ton Ram.
@@drksideofthemoon6899 We have a 2016 GMC Sierra with the 5.3L V8 and 6 speed Auto. We also have a Blue Ox Weight distribution hitch. It tows pretty well but I’d prefer a Dodge 2500 with the Cummins diesel
A solar generator is a lot better option.
Solar generators are cool and have their place but not for runnig an A/C. Even the small Furrion A/C uses 1600+ watts. You might get a couple hours - then what? The size of the system (and cost!) would be crazy.
lol no
Or…. You could just spend $600-800 on a 3000 W generator and you won’t have to fuss with all these extremely inconvenient tricks and techniques. Probably get a couple hundred for your 2000 W on marketplace closing the gap
Or just get a solar powered inverter.
Definitely a good suggestion if you plan to use your air conditioning a lot 👍
If you go that route you’ll need a lot of battery capacity and at least a 3000W Inverter
Love your first video. We are looking at this RV ourselves. Looking forward to your next video.
Forgot to mention that we are heading to Alaska from Florida and are in Calgary right now overnighting at Bass Pro and heading to Banff in a couple of hours. Calgary is a nice city but the wind can get pretty bad.
It was windy today! Makes towing the new trailer quite exciting! Long trip for you. Thanks for the comment.
Nice video, looking forward to more! I am looking at the same model for the garage to store eBikes as well. I am looking at the theater seats though. The slide is a BAL Exact slide vs the Accuslide which should be far more reliable. Did it come with the extension ladder or did you purchase one? They are now using the Furrion 18k AC unit and I would be towing with a Ford F150 with the 7.2k generator built in to use the AC. Going lithium is the only way to go and I would love to see even a photo montage of your install with some voiceovers. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to the next video.
Thanks! Yes it came with the Lippert extension ladder that clips in to the mount up high on the back of the trailer. We store it under the dinette seat. I’ll definitely be posting videos throughout the summer, including the AC and my battery install. Our 2000 W generator was able to power the AC due to it having a soft start!
Funny😂
Great trailer looks cool .
I got the Intech Forge as a toy hauler for sleds bikes and a SXS. Ember would be a nice choice if you don’t need a a garage for gas sized toys.
Nice trailer! We looked at quite a few toy haulers but the ember suited us better. My dirtbike will go in the truck bed. E-bikes in the ember storage! Thanks for subscribing 👍
If there’s anything about the new Ember 22ETS you’d like me to cover, comment below! I’ll make a video👍
So why the ets why not an actual overland series since you like to go off road and off grid ?
When we started looking at trailers, we initially wanted something roomier and longer. We were also looking at the Overland 221MSL as it also has the removable bunk system. Incredible trailer but also around $26K CAD more. We preferred the ETS layout (non-Murphy bed, bar, plus the dinette). We won’t be able to get this 22ETS into some of the same places as our Fun Finder mostly due to the longer length and the overland was about the same length.
Thank you for your thorough review! Looking forward to seeing your adventures! 🔥🔥🔥
We’re both so excited for the new trailer. Thanks for watching!!
