In Poland there is now a newer and longer rail tunnel opened in 2016 - to the underground train station Łódź Fabryczna.

Normally the train, both KM and SKM, stops on all the stations you passed through. Due to the modernization works of the Warsaw West station and some of the tracks reaching this station, from June 2023, some trains are directed to tracks used mainly by intercity trains. There are 4 additional stations between Warsaw West and Otwock which are now bypassed by many trains. There are still some duirng the day that stop at each station. And instead of Warszawa Centralna, they stop at the Warszawa Śródmieście station (very close, connected by an underground passage) , which serves suburban and regional trains. When there is no construction works, the Cenral station is used by intercity faster trains.

Warszawa Główna (Warsaw Main) is a little misnomer as It is a historical site. Currently the main station of Warsaw is Warsaw Central, some 1 kilometer east.

It's not the driver who is making these station announcements, it is one of the on-board crew.

Not gonna lie but the design of polish trains is superior to those in Britain. In the UK trains look cheap and the maintenance is catastrophic. Walls, seats toilets all covered in graffiti and the odour in some places is just beyond any level of acceptance. Sometimes you get a set with all toilets blocked. Forget about washing your hands.

4:07 The station building next to Tunelowa street is actually in construction process, back in the day there was only a small waiting room with two ticket offices which was demolished in 2021.

TBH considering that this is a commuter city train more like the London Underground, I wouldn't complain about anything on this train. It looks spacious, modern, comfortable and clean. Even the luggage racks, although small, it is still better than nothing. In London it is hard to find anything like USB ports or luggage racks on the train of this class. People must keep their belongings on the floor.
