HUNTING BLOOPERS & OUTTAKES

Before anyone else gets bent out of shape over the way this snake was killed, let me explain. We didn't kill this snake for your entertainment. And we weren't thinking about the manner in which the snake died. What we were thinking about was our safety and the safety of the 500 other hunters sharing the land with us that week. We had no "proper" weapons. Everything was left at camp. We discusse...

Although the hens lay larger eggs, but it’s pretty small compared to their body size and weight. Brahma hens also lay...

Deer season was well into the "lockdown" phase of the rut. And I was getting desperate and decided to dust off the ol, Rinehart Doloma Doe Decoy in hopes of pulling in a seeker. These decoys are made to move when the wind blows, but I decided to stick a screw in the side of her and tie on some fishing line to tug from our box blind when I saw a deer in the distance. @@Beasel The oats are just a protien booster. The actual attractant is the smell of the kool-aid. Still cheaper and more effective than store bought.

    My teenage step sons are crackheads for deer hunting. I don't hunt much myself "lazy" but i like researching things that make better, bigger, and healthier deer. So we're going to try your recipe along with some others to see if over a couple years if we see bigger, better, and more deer on our property. Thanks so much for sharing the information. And best of luck. Take Care!!!

    Interesting way of erecting the build... I'll have to try this out. Thank you, sir! BTW. Cute pupper :) Update 12-14-24: we based our build off yours with a few of our own twists and it was definitely more cost efficient for us. By no means does it need to be fort Knox $$$ lumber these days. The price of a 2x4 is crazy! Thank you for making your video! God bless brother!

    Can all these ingredients be purchased at tractor supply. And should this be used year round from spring and throughout the winter . Where I'm hunting, u can't grow a food plot . Thanks

    • @StrungOutOutdoors
      @StrungOutOutdoors 3 месяца назад

      @@titechaintrappers2492 Yes, Tractor supply should have all this. Deer typically use minerals more in the spring and early summer months. You could use it all year without harm, but let your trail cams tell how actively used your site is. Bucks bank calcium and phosphorus in their system until needed later, so this could be good for late winter in that regard. Good luck and enjoy

      @StrungOutOutdoors Thank you. Do you have a good recipe on a food I can make for deer instead of buying from big box store to feed deer year round too also. Thank you for your help

    • @StrungOutOutdoors
      @StrungOutOutdoors 3 месяца назад

      @@titechaintrappers2492 I have food plots, so I don't personally do that kind of stuff, but it would depend on what you're wanting to accomplish? Grow racks or just attract deer or just feed for better health. Any of that can get expensive, especially when you factor in other critters that will be sharing it too. Feeders are a good way to slow down other critters, but still hard to stop. I used to set traps at my feeders to get rid of coons from taking corn and protien from my deer feeders. Dumping it straight on the ground is costly and a lot of tine it'll mold from moisture, but if you're doing it for an attractant to get meat in the freezer, it won't matter and you can dump when hunting. Corn will work fine for this method. You should be able to get some good ideas if you search homemade deer feed blocks. I wouldn't expect them to last more than a couple days and again other critters will want it too. For growing racks, I like a feeder with corn and protien, but rack growing season is over and you'll have to wait until late winter/early spring to get a jump on that for next season. Deer corn is cheap, but offers little to no nutritional value, especially in the winter. Too much corn can actually kill deer in the winter. It causes a digestive issue called rumen acidosis, which can kill the deer. It can also shock the system if the deer aren't used to feeding on it. The best thing, if possible, is a food plot. Winter oats are amazing, mix with clover and then the clover sprouts the next spring and feed deer high protien up through summer, but I know you said a plot wasn't optional.

    Love it, When I build my coop it will be like yours but I will investigate option to put the perch right in front of the clean out door so the pooping is closest to the door. Also I will build it on top of a harbor freight trailer because I expect my coop will potentially be a short lived hobby of 10 years then I will want to haul it away and out of my life.
