Is putting a meeple on the start tile unique to this expansion? I’m pretty sure the normal rules are the take a new tile put it next to the start tile and place a meeple on that second tile.

Thanks for the video, it says in my rules that the normal starting tile is removed when the river expansion is used, and also i thought the river couldnt go in a u shape like you have it, it should essentially flow north to south from the start to end, although will have some turns left and righ?

This is one of our favorite Ticket to Ride maps. I actually bought the game for the Japan map, but we rarely ever play that side and play this side a lot! Love it!

Hi, can you clarify a rule concerning the starter river expansion please. I understand that if you use this expansion, the original starter tile is removed from the game, but you kept it in. It probably doesn't matter but I want to avoid disagreements when playing with others. Also, and you might have been asked this before, can you extend farmland around the end of the spring and lake? My pieces look slightly different to yours and they look like they want to prevent you from doing this. Perhaps later additions have been redrawn to give a clear green space around them so that farms can extend around them. What do you think?

Great review and walk through. My wife and I had this on our shelf for 3 years and were intimidated by it. You made it easy to setup, and after a few turns we were really into it.

You left a 10 point card to build one that only gave you 4 point. .. Maybe you should get another hobby

This guy doesnt know what he is talking about. A normal meeple cannot be placed on a garden.

I wish manual would have been more precise what happens at which point. I played this game first time with my wife few days ago. We got rewards only at the end of each round. Just like when you get extra worker only after the round ends. I think we just got lost like why would one reward be different from others. There were other "flags" as well that got us wondering we might be doing it wrong :D Like building rooms was pretty weird for us because we had to pay the price, put a room card aside, but then build it only after the round ended. Or when we had to remember if one worker was specialized or not. So thanks for this video. It did clear some things :P To think of it now I don't know how did we got it so wrong haha. But beside all that we pretty much enjoyed the game. I think "our rules" just postponed everything by one round more or less.

What a great family game. We've just started playing with my 5 year old. I was looking for a clear video to bring the rivers expansion in, but current considering the abbots after watching this. keep up the great content.
