That knuckle always giving hitters fits
I made sure I drafted Wakefield in every fantasy league I had every year. He was also just fun to watch.
Rest in peace Tim Wakefield I'll always remember watching you pitch for the Sox u were a legend
Guy looks like the chillest dude. Like I probably could be doing absolutely nothing and still have a good time if he were around.
I'm certain The Red Sox will have some kind of ceremony and retire his number. Shame he'll never get to see it. ⚾⚾
Wakey wakey eggs and bakey!
I just heard that he died….damn…perhaps the last great knuckleballer….RIP Tim
R.I.P Mr.Knuckle ball
Se fué un grande del beisbol 😢
Good bye, Timothy.
Tim was a castaway picked up by the Red Sox and the knuckleball made his career. Pennant fever came to Boston most summer and I remember taking my daughter to one of those games in the bleachers. Real sad, great person.
RIP Wake. Ty for the memories. When you were on, you were unhittable.
The last great knuckleballer. Hope to see more of them eventually. Best pitch in baseball. Rest east Tim. Thanks for helping me love the game.
RIP Wake, your contributions to baseball pale in compare to your humanity and passion to help others, and you were a outstanding player my man. Was a huge Yankees fan until they brought fooking Clemons aboard, then I passed on baseball ever since. But Tim was a Red Sock everyone likesld except anyone who had to hit those 70 mph butterflies he threw. Hope his kids have family in these hard times, heard his wife is sick also. Damn... Oh and FU CK CURT SHILLING FIR BEING A KU NT THAT HIDES HIS LIES AND EGO BEHIND HIS FAKE GOD. INCE AGAIN, EAT A BAG OF DICS SHILLING. POS.
1:15 , he missed the ball by a mile...
RIP
RIP Tim. It was a privilege to see you at work.

Had to come watch this after hearing the news. I was a huge Sox fan during that run. Loved watching that knuckler dance around. Rest easy!

RIP Tim Wakefield
RIP Tim Wakefield
RIP knuckleballer
RIP KNUCKLEBALL GOAT 😢
RIP, gone too soon! What a legend. I still remember rooting for him to set the Red Sox all time Win record. He fell just shy of Cy Young and Roger Clemens. We'll miss you, Tim!
rip legend 💔
People forget his curveball was the perfect compliment to his knuckler
I was so infatuated with this team as a kid, Garciaparra, Wakefield, Nixon, Millar, Ramirez, Martinez, Ortiz, Damon, Giambi, Varitek. They awakened a deep love for the game in a young man that had no real connection with Baseball up to that point. Thank you boys!
Literally same bro
Remember Billy Mueller or trot nixon?
Best knuckleballer of all time? Phil Niekro. There was a knuckleballer pitcher who threw a no hitter in 1917… his name; Eddie Cicotte
This guy sucks at broadcasting!
Le pitcheo a Barry bonds alguna vez
absolute knuckle chad
Tim Wakefield built like a casual bowling club dad. There is literally nothing athletic about him. Just 100% technique.
There is only one word to describe Wake: Incredible
