I have a very tired '02 2.0 Ghia [ 5 door ] and it always had trouble with a tight traction control and a bit of torque steer. As mine is a 1 August car this came out just after mine and they did a job on the drive train. With just 130 at the wheels, with 130 torque [ a horseporque ] and sitting on -30 Eibachs it is still a lot of fun. But, an LSD and maybe some SVT parts may be in the future. I also have a Volvo 850 T5 and have been tempted to make a 5 cylinder Mk1 5 door Focus [ a Unicorn ] but, the Volvo people would not be happy! Keep an eye one your rear leaks, mine needed welding from all the salt in the UK. [ now the sills have fell off! ]

I have a 2002 SVT Lightning (purchased on Mar 2023) and I love it. The truck only has 32k miles.

I have the OR MAC ProChamber and Magnapacks on my '04 40th GT...other than the supercharger whine, it's amazing how similar our cars sound.

John Coletti was the man. I've owned my 03 Cobra since 06, and my 03 L since 2010. My Lightning is the best vehicle I've ever owned. Not the fastest, but it just does its thing without giving me any issues, or being anything other than absolutely reliable. Just wish they had 10R80's in the late 90's/early 2000's as the 5L/10R80 combo in my 18 F150 is excellent. A L with a playful 10R80 would be a blast to drive.
