  • @AlexanderCalalo

    Is it possible to work while doing the accelarated program? Or is it impossible?😅

    • @BradTakesFlight
      @BradTakesFlight 6 дней назад

      It depends on the school and the job, but realistically no. You could probably go to a accelerate flight school, but you’re gonna have to take time off in order to work. It really defeats the purpose of going to an accelerated program that’s going to cost a bunch of money. You’re probably better off going to a school that is somewhat accelerated, but allows you to pay as you go and take time off as needed.

      @ I’m actually planning to enroll next year. What does the 100k include? Does it include Checkride costs, online ground school, books etc.? And do they charge extra if you go beyond your hours of flying like ATP?

    • @BradTakesFlight
      @BradTakesFlight 5 дней назад

      The cost includes the ground school and basic flight time. Everything else (checkrides, books, rent, equipment, etc) cost extra. They do charge for any extra hours need for flights as well. Feel free to email me and we can discuss your situation further. bradtakesflight@gmail.com

    • @BradTakesFlight
      @BradTakesFlight 7 дней назад

      They don’t have any career resources like what you would get at a public school or university. About once a month, a company, like PSA or Pland Sense, would come in to speak, but that’s about it.

    How hard is it to find these other jobs after blue line ? I've read that they have partner ships with airlines, but thats not a guaranteed job right ? Ive been considering blue line my self and am in the smithfield area!

    • @BradTakesFlight
      @BradTakesFlight 15 дней назад

      If you live in Smithfield, then that’s a huge benefit. You are correct, they do not guarantee a job after which is a huge disadvantage compared to ATP. The issue with ATP is they could have you go to any of their 80+ schools for that job.

    Hey Brad, Congratulations from what I’ve seen I think you may be one of the only accelerated student that was able to make it through your program deliver video content all the way through. You and Trent are inspiring to say the least. A couple questions… Does Blue Line have an affiliation with a regional airline and if so, how will you fit into that process. If not, why was that not high on your lost when choosing a school? How hard does it seem like it will be to find a CFI job in your hometown? I’m assuming you are going back to your hometown correct? Once you become a CFI, I would assume the process of acquiring students and hours may be slowing going at first. Do you have any plans of supplementing with any other form of time building to speed the process? To your knowledge, are there RV parks or spaces in close proximity to Blue Line that students can utilize (rent) if they come with a fully livable travel trailer? Lastly… You’re the man.

    • @BradTakesFlight
      @BradTakesFlight 15 дней назад

      Blue line does not have any affiliations with any airlines. I prioritized timeline over affiliations. No one in my hometown is hiring, so impossible lol. It’s all about timing and your area. There are several RV parks in the Smithfield area, but you would have to call about availability. Thank you for your kind words! Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions

    Other schools I’m looking at are 9 months to complete with all the same certifications. If you had to explain why blue line is only 5 months what would your answer be?

    • @BradTakesFlight
      @BradTakesFlight 28 дней назад

      Not sure which school you are looking at, but it comes down to a few things: weather, aircraft availability, instructor availability, and DPE availability.

    • @DominicAmadiJr
      @DominicAmadiJr 28 дней назад

      @BradTakesFlight ATP and Thrust flight. I’m thinking about going next year and wanted to know more about preparation. Should I read up on the ACS and POH prior to enrolling or other books that are important to start strong. Which ones would you recommend?

    • @BradTakesFlight
      @BradTakesFlight 28 дней назад

      @DominicAmadiJr DPE availability is probably the biggest difference then. ACS and POH are good, but I would recommend starting with the PHAK and AFH. These provide the fundamentals of pilot knowledge and keys for success in check rides. No matter what school you go to or aircraft you fly, the knowledge in those two books will get you 80 to 90% of the way..

      Thanks! It’s more about flight time than calendar time. There also isn’t a ton of difference between single engine and multi engine, at least in light twins. @@BradTakesFlight that's not as bad as I figured it would be. If you want your 1500hrs quickly I'd go for a larger flight school. I went part time to get my PPL and my instructor had right at 600hrs when i started and when I finished 14 months later he had just topped 1000hrs. . hi brad flew in college in peterborough airport north of toronto ontario this is very helpful . we need more instruction that is well mentored you sound like an educator...thats who we need in the classrooms and in the air.....i was an investigator for accidents in a big city in canada.and these accidents in small cessna like planes are because we rush......not just time but preparation in weather condtions. it has to start at small airports and the NTSB AND FAA have to give the funding to stop the lack of training in the long run.........right there.....the small aiports money has to go there not the big investigations that take 2 years.......i know its about controlling from a big govt......but this has not improved....i guess we know why? paul john ottawa ontario canada... keep the blue sky up. great to have hoover pilot debrief and bianolino juan browne on you tube to solve these accidents in good time and good knowledge..........change is necessary........ask the weatherman he knows change.

    You can always just take it again after you have reviewed the materials with your CFI. I know, more work, but it may make your oral part of the check-ride go faster.

      Unfortunately the program I signed up for makes you pass written before doing grounds with my CFI. This is good for advice for those who have the option.

    Hey Brad! Congratulations 🎉 I know every time I leave a comment it contains some unsolicited advice but I remember being exactly where you’re at when I went through Blue Line. When teaching instrument lessons in a plane equipped with auto pilot don’t let your students use it for most approaches. I’ve seen people that got real comfortable using auto pilot during their instrument that when they got on to CSEL training they had to knock a good bit of rust off their stick and rudder skills. I find one out of every 5 approaches or so is enough to keep people proficient and still maintain their airmanship. You’re in the home stretch now so don’t lose focus and finish up strong!
