This was the intro to the World Premiere of “Best F(r)iends, Volume 2” at Beyond Fest 2018. Watch in amazement as Mr. Wiseau reveals his next film will be a horror film (#woot), that he’s currently creating a musical adaptation of “The Room”, and has no idea how to *safely* fire off a T-shirt cannon. 😉

Actor Jeffrey Combs discusses The Frighteners and Re-Animator. I was able to capture most of the Frighteners talk, but the video cuts off during the Re-Animator section. Apologies. The great Brian Yuzna joins the conversation near the end.

I enjoyed Beyond the Black Rainbow, but man oh man I fucking loved Mandy!
Why is nobody ever talking about the Bill Duke van scene. It's one of my favorite scenes from the movie. His character is soo good.
just rewatched with my lady - took us two days she was overwhelmed & I felt kinda bad lol
I love seeing Nicolas wearing leather. 😊
Kevin smith, a backwards hat, oversized suit jacket and denim shorts😬. Can, a solid gold rockstar jacket, leather pants? and blood red shades 😎
"I've seen that... the power of the individual who believes they're enlightened, and they're actually a narcissist And... It's scary" So true. People who are sipping on their own flavor-aid way too much!
Nobody is mentioning Johann Johannsson. To me this soundtrack is crucial to this movie. Would not be the same without it. Hypnotizing.
18:15 that phrazing had to be on purpose 😂
Killer video...Killer film...love it❤
Love this Q&A. You get 3 very different masters of their crafts with all their insights.
Thank you for posting this. Great questions from Kevin which is no surprise he's a filmmaker. Especially the question if the finished product was the same as the one in conception. Cage shares lots of personal stuff here its wonderful to compare it to other interviews.
I thought for sure Charles Manson was being channeled, from the failed music career to the psychedelic murderous family, what a perfect movie.
100% felt this.
It felt like a mix of Manson and David Koresh. It was very believable.
Yeah Kevin,I think we all know at this point you have no problem sucking the metophorical corporate coq at least....
He looks like a great dungeon master
Imagine if Nicholas Cage played Barry Nyle
This film was amazing!
Welcome to Pan Cast. I'm Kevin Cosmatos. Panoshhh is Kevin's long lost son. They're both dressed in a director's uniform.
When Nic Cage mentioned how coffee relaxes him and the action scenes has the same effect. Thats a common theme with ADHD people.
Makes sense, ADHD is partly an endorphin issues. Caffeine and adrenaline can flood the brain with chemicals that can help with focus and attention.
If Nic doesn't play Johnny Cage in the next Mortal Kombat movie I will never forgive WB
Cool! I have yet to see Mandy but I know what's next Red Wine Talent and Dracccullla!!!!
Cool! I know what's next!! More Talent and Red Wine!!
The scene were they portrait the influence of drugs, has to be the most accurate one. One of my friends wasn’t sure if we gave him any drugs before watching it, completely surreal.
He is way better then actor like Keanu Reeves , the difference is Cage is good but over the top and on the other hand Keanu is bad but subtle Keanu was on the verge of becoming a Internet meme some where around 2010, he was fortunate to get John Wick movie iin 2014 which saved him from becoming a Internet meme for the rest of his life.
Movie rocked..
I Never would’ve thought I had something in common with Nic cage...Coffee makes me tired too...🤯
Fantastic movie!!
Kevin Smith sucks.
Panos talking about Johann was so sad.
Kevin smith sucks!
Anybody have any idea what would be a reasonable offer to possibly persuade RWK to do a Part 3 hockey masks equivalent of Sean Clark's video in which Tommy Lee Wallace recreates the process of making the Michael Myers mask?
one of the best movies ever made. i sound trite, but i really feel this way. I was completely lost in this incredible, beautiful world and didn't want to leave. that ending matte painting was the perfect finish. Unbelievable.
You put it perfectly "lost in this incredible, beautiful world". After seeing this film for the first time, I immediately googled Shadow Mountains because I wanted to believe that such world existed. And the Reagan speech, for real! Red was such a nice guy, he lived an honest, hard working and violence free life ( and ended up being a gang/fucked up cult victim ), but he wouldn´t put up with those evangelical speeches.
3 years and it's still with me just as strongly. It was an experience, went above and beyond most movies I've ever seen
Fk you Kevin Smith. You don't tell people to applause dipshit. They will applause if they think it deserves it not cos you order them too. Get your head out your ass. The amount of times you said come on give it up a round of applause here and there.
Just watched Mandy two nights ago. I have to say- Linus stole the show. So in love with him. Fantastic actor.
Anybody ever approach RWK about recreating the hockey mask?
Linus Roaches performance in this is astonishingly good, best acting I've seen for years.
PANOS HURRY UP AND MAKE ANOTHER MOVIE ALREADY ITS BEEN 3 YEARS
I can never recognize Kevin smith when he’s not fat
Joy 💀love this.It has made my day.
Thanks for the comments, like, support and love over the years . I would love to keep in touch with you, write me; ncage163@gmail.com Hope you’re keeping safe?
Kevin Smith is a great host
Tommy was really grumpy here
Panos talks about creating films the same way Harmony Korine does... combining thoughts, images, sounds, colors into scenes and finding the narrative around those things.
Wow Linus looks so normal.
What a great interview just saw the film for the first time last night on Shudder and stoked because Beyond the Black Rainbow is on there as well
That's a phenomenal panel. Thanks for sharing! But does Nic even smile once in that? Mans got no chill XD
Nic is rock in’ that golden jacket! FRFR!
Who's gonna tell Kevin Smith to stop wearing jean shorts
Here's some WILD HINTS to help you DECODE MANDY: If you want to understand the wild ending, theres a couple "magical realism" books from the 1980s you should read. I'll give you a clue about one important but obscure novel in particular: MARK TWAIN, 1986. (Need more? Look at the number on Red (Nic Cage)'s favorite T-Shirt!) The book referenced reveals a LOT about what's really going on in "MANDY" and where Red is at the end of the story. ALSO: the villain's full name JEREMIAH SAND is a secret anagram that explains a lot of the film's backstory and religious themes, especially in connection with the evil cult. ("JEREMIAH SAND" = "HE IS _________." It's creepy when you get it! Want one more clue to understanding "Mandy"? Consider this -- "MANDY" is actually supposed to be short for "MARY MAGDALENE." And "Crystal Lake" is also a reference to the "crystal waters" of the SEA OF GALILEE (really a lake) where Mary Magdalene went fishing w/ Jesus (as Red and Mandy do in the movie) and later lived next to after the Resurrection. Don't believe me? Check out all the biblical reference and direct quotes that the movie uses in connection w/ Mary Magdalene. And BTW -- If you take the letters M-A-N-D-Y out of her name, in fact, the remaining letters spell "MALE RAGE." Oh, and Did you catch the sketch by Mandy that was included at the end of the movie after the credits? If so, this Mary Magdalene representation sketch might look familiar: in.pinterest.com/pin/421508846371556607/
I cant seem to find the Mark Twain book published in 1986- any links or further info you can give on that?
@@nathanfoxton9523 I heard somewhere it's an incomplete work.
I really don't get that anagram. What can you get out of jaremand that makes sense?
Legal😀
Hey why didn’t the cult just kill Nic Cage? I get they left him there thinking he would die but you literally just burned a woman in a sleeping bag just finish her boyfriend. It’s really my only problem with the movie.
They're arrogant and narcissistic. They wanted him to suffer and die slowly knowing the love of his life was just burned alive. They stabbed him with the cursed blade, but who knows what effect if any it actually has. They probably just "assumed" their whole plan to make him bleed to death would work. It's all just Sand's narcissism and arrogance that comes back to bite him.
I saw Friday the 13th pt.3 3-D when it was new (1983) ,i liked it then and still do, it's like one of those bad-good films you don't know why you like ,but you do, especially as the years go by, it seems to be get better. From the strangely out of place theme intro music ( new-wave-disco-ish electro-synth ? ) , and the crystal clear look of the film, not like the previous films grainy-ish look, and the first hockey masked Jason, and of of course the the 3-D ,and the odd choice of things to hilight this effect ( a baseball bat, a yo-yo, juggling, ect..) . I wonder why Dana Kimmell, Catherine Parks, and other cast members weren't in the the documentary, or on stage? I would hope they're not ashamed of the film, it's a cult classic now, and they were all really good in it. Great memories of that time. Bob.G
From what I’ve heard Dana hates the Friday the 13th franchise
@@dimebagdarrell2390 Bless her heart , i'd hate it too if i over-acted like that haha. I mean that all in fun. Love the film to bits and got nothing but respect
