Well one this is not knowing what most things were and what they did and the lack of the move meter. Take Akira's Devil's Due/Shadow Image for example, on the SNES, the text reads, "Negative PSI/Reduce Lifespan" Not a very helpful description. Most items actually tell you what they do now too. Some stats were renamed like, "Con" becoming Sp.Def and, "IQ" becoming Sp.Atk to help streamline what they actually are and what they do. A few moves and stats were also buffed like most of Akira's moves, or nerfed like Wildfire (didn't need charge time) to better balance characters.

Yea i did too i love the final boss theme of the new boss it's my favorite theme in the game so as much as i love the original game i do appreciate the new boss that they added and the music to it is easily my favorite theme in the game, here's hoping the developers add something new to the ttyd remake too like a boss rush or a post game.

I interpreted the remakes final phase as Oersted literally absorbing so much hate, that it was enough to revive the original Odio.

Beginning of "Pure Odio" sounds like beginning of "The Grand finale" from Mario and Luigi: Bowser's inside story. Both games has same composer too.

Gotta admit, despite the long wait, the english dub for this game pulled all the stops. The voice acting was on point, the script and dialogue was rich and impactful, and it even was full of unnecessary detail such as asking the japanese singer to record the whole tokusatsu opening in English as well. Credit where credit is due.

They probably didn't think of an ultimate final boss at the time and instead just stuck with a boss rush just to show how each of the Seven have grown since entering the Dominion of Hate, never giving Oersted a chance of redemption or defeating his own Odio.

@@Jose_Doe I heard someone mention it. Dunno if it’s true but it makes sense. The demon king’s statue has a very particular design which would make sense if it was meant to appear as an enemy.

I got the best ending without doing all the trials... is there something _else_ you didn't do? (For reference, I did not have the ultimate weapons for Pogo or Oboro; I did enter them by accident, but did not clear them. I did clear all the others.) All I know is that you have to have had each one with you at some point... And they just move the character specific speech to after the new phase they added

@@WhirlyBeepBoops Yeah, I believe that was the real issue. I only recruited five out of the sevem characters. I replayed the Final Chapter and did everything there was to do in it, so I've seen the new final boss. And Jesus Christ, it is a typical Square Enix "defeated and spared by the power of friendship" final boss.

Just finished the remake and while the original is good, the new one‘s climax makes things soooo much more satisfying
