I know this guy only by his excellent reputation from show cars, and assume his promotion is trustworthy, but it is automobiles, where not every situation is honest. this is a brand I am considering buying when the need appears. about all I know is that the quality of the chrome passing through the seals determines longevity.

Copper anti seize on the aluminum threads?

We have found that the copper based Anti-seize has works very well on the Aldan American spring seat threads on the aluminum shocks. The Anti-seize helps prevent the aluminum from galling when you adjust the preload.
@@AldanAmerican aluminium based anti seize would be even better for the longevity of the product.

Update...installed my coil over along with UMI control arms. I wasnt sure where to set the nut for ride height and set it about an inch from the bottom. Looked cool but was way too low. Raising the nut another inch raised my ride height 2 inches.

Bolts to the top side of the lower control arm!
@@AldanAmerican yeah but on arms I've delt with inches past the hole it sits in won't allow you the body of the shock or coil over to go through lol
Mine dont have a separate nut and seat. I guess they changed to design.
The newer coil over shocks are assembled with a 1 piece spring seat that uses a locking screw to lock the adjustment. Some shocks still use the 2 piece spring seat and locking nut.

God man. I know your pain. We just picked up a 65 Galaxie 500 xl convertable. Its rangoon red with a clean new white top. We got it from a guy who loved the car, put new hotchkiss suspension, steering, and everything elce. New corvette rotars and all the other fancy. In the outside it looked too good to be true, and we then found out that each fennder is covered with rust under putty. So sad.
