Hi there, I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Maybe it's because i'm a beginner and don't quite understand. I have tried to do a timelapse over and over again. And I have tried doing it 2 different ways, but I have a problem. Lets say I have a 5 minute clip. Prior to time lapse attempts, I edit that clip - top and tail 1 minute off either end lets say. SO my 5 min clip is now 3 mins. But when I apply the time lapse to my now 3 minute clip, the bits I edited out (me checking the camera for instance) re appear in the time lapsed footage. I thought I was going mad at first. But this is definitely happening. Why.....???

I have the latest version of shotcut but i don't have this filter? how do I get it?

I don't know why creating a RUclips channel requires having a Google account. Maybe it's because RUclips is a Google website. I used to use my other RUclips channel called "Lazar Alabić" since September 22nd 2017, but its username is my real name and surname and its profile picture is me in real life, we mustn't know personal info of others, and I couldn't just change its username and profile picture because I need to use it for the Classroom app, so then I had to create this account called "Stitch" on February 28th 2022.

at 6:21 my shotcut does not have the said options. The linear button is rectangle not diamond and when I right click on it, it has 3 options: From Previous (greyed out) - can't click on it To Next (also greyed out) - can't click on it Remove (only option that allows clicking) How do I solve this problem?

Really? That's not rweally freeze frame, thats just a picture. So I have to make png in a separate file then dragi intot the playlist and then get it lined up correctly blah blah blah. Even openshot has this basic feature, you just type in the time. Can't just cut it then extend the last frame?

I didn't think it exporting. I ended up putting the audio track as the first video track and remove the MP3 meta image.

Wonderful video, thank you so much Joe. I've a question about using a banner image that is in the public domain for my channel - should I provide attribute credits within a section of the banner? For instance, white text (it's a dark banner) in the bottom left to indicate the artist's efforts on Flickr? Will continue watching (and liking) your videos in this series. Thank you!
