The Incredible Biology Powering Autumn Colors|Leaf Senescence
To try everything Brilliant has to offer-free-for a full 30 days, visit brilliant.org/Clockwork/ You’ll also get 20% off an annual premium subscription.
🍂 You've probably learned why leaves change color and drop from trees in the fall. But what actually causes these color changes? This is the single grandest and most visible moment of PURE BIOCHEMISTRY we get in this life on Earth. If you examine the chemical details here, you'll find a dramatic race against time. So let's explore why trees drop their leaves. We just need to make sure we don't get caught by the monster that secretly lurks in the foundations of photosynthesis.

I'd love to watch your video, I am very passionate about plants, but I'm absolutely unable to keep my eyes on the screen. The graphics in your video, the huge explosions of bright colours are so stressful to my eyes and so annoying to my brain, that although I've tried, I can't keep watching. It looks like a ride in an amusement park for 3 year olds, not a science video.

WOW idk how old this world is, or how long my DNA has been partially existent through my parents... This dude says our DNA figuratively repeats like a mantra: I am, I am, I am, I am... @14:10 We might think instinctively that refers to ourselves... I, aka me! But did you ever hear the name for God, YHWH, as "I am"? He called himself the I AM to declare that HE has always been. We are too incredible to be an accident. We are skillfully and lovingly made!!! Psalm 139:14 The Great I AM is the designer of it all. His name is Jesus. If our bodies chant "I am, I am, I am, I am," all day long, they chant the name of the Most High God.

Just a note: The 3D modeling makes it, at least for me, quite difficult to interpret what is going on chemically, as someone more used to lewis structures. Maybe you could provide a legend somewhere, or put letters in the circle to give intuition as to which molecules correspond to which colored spheres?

In layman push and pull, There are things in nature that Man has named Blah Blah Blah ( not necessarily meaning thats their true name, ) anti-matter versus matter Ying yang push and pull action reaction positive charge or negative charge left right 🤷🏽 These entities or things when they move through a neutral matrix they create kinetic energy called a charge ( creating heat just like when you rub your hands together) . That’s why Elon Musk, new engine runs on hydrogen protons instead of battery electrons ( NOT WATER SMART PEOPLE🤷🏽, no the car will exhaust what’s left behind aka After the ionization, Copy & paste When hydrogen ionizes in water, it doesn't directly leave behind H2O; instead, the hydrogen ion (H+) released during ionization readily combines with a hydroxide ion (OH-) already present in the water, forming a new water molecule (H2O) because of the natural tendency for these ions to recombine in aqueous solutions; essentially, the process is about transferring a proton (H+) from one water molecule to another, not creating new water molecules from pure hydrogen ionization).. Ultimately people don’t know what this means. Elon Has opened the door for every sci-fi movie ( or what Nicola Tesla was talking about operating electric everything making a clean world ) with cars going extremely fast down the freeway with no emissions low operation sound making the world a quieter cleaner place ( and can also be powered by filling up at a form of gas station instantaneously just like a 🎉fossil fuel vehicle no charge time🤨),, Just imagine we’re about to start having electric/ protonic jet & plane engines motorcycles, generators, home’s etc that all run on hydrogen protons (i guess they would be called a Protonic engine aka the name I used above , not electric/ electron engine Is about to become a fossil also since they had them in early vehicle history etc ) ✌🏽.

When a hydrogen atom undergoes ionization, meaning it loses its single electron, the remaining positively charged particle is a proton; essentially, a hydrogen ion is just a proton because a hydrogen atom consists of only one proton and one electron, so removing the electron leaves only the proton behind
