I'm glad I got to experience the more exciting Toronto of old when I was young. Thankfully I've reached the "settle down and enjoy the comfort of a nice property away from the crowds" stage before it was turned into a large, boring, overpriced mall.

Product of the early video fame. In an interview Moe Berg (lead singer) says they made the video even before they had a record or any kind of deal. Once they convinced Much Music (Canada's version of MTV) to play the video people clamored for the record. So they made a 1000 copies, sold out, made more, sold out and then they got a deal with a Warner Bros to make more music.

I was 18 when this song premiered in the States, just graduated high school, it encapsulated what I was going through at the time. Plus, it was also a kickass song on an album where every track was a winner.
