Bro iam question, engine numbe location is car help
What year is this car?
Is there any chance you could post a list with the torque specs? That would be extremely helpful!
you are doing a great job. Please try it till the end. I'm looking forward to the next video.
Meticulous attention to detail. Impressive.
Great work.
What was the year and the mileage of the car? Thanks.
mileage is 180 000km, its a 2005 or 2006
Great job. Thanks.
I own a W211 with an early 3.5L M272 engine (109,000 km) so this is interesting. You are highly skilled-watching you work is a joy! Disappointing to see disintegration of the plastic guides. Is it true that not every low serial number M272 will suffer from abnormal balance shaft drive cog wear? You didn’t choose to replace the original cog as a precaution? Will watch the final episode tomorrow, I’ve subscribed of course :-)
I did replace both the cranksaft cog and the balancer shaft. All timing parts are new on the engine!
I am not sure about which M272 did suffer from the balance shaft issue
@@internalcombustion1416 Engine serial numbers below 2729..30 468993 have the balance shaft issue.
great job but 6months for this wow its too much toomuch time
I love the background music
I don't know how people can reassemble parts that are filthy. My OCD would ruin me putting greasy oxidized parts back onto a refreshed engine. Fun video otherwise.
excelen thanks et ravi de vous rencontrer
Hope to see the part2 soon. Thank you for posting these great videos.
Great video, thank you, hope to see part 2 soon.
its been 5 month, will you upload part 2 soon? im looking forward to it
I’m currently doing editing work for next episode! Sorry for the long wait, I have been very busy with other activities, unfortunately!
Great detailed video. Looking forward to the next :)
GREAT VIDEO, I AM CURIOUS....WHY DID YOU NOT CHECK THE PISTON RING GAPS?
I did but off camera unfortunately!
I'm surprised to see that the steering wheel is on the left side on your car because the steering wheel is on the right side in Japan.🥲🥲🥲
Yes! They buy LHD vehicles in Japan as well sometimes :D
26:33 Hello. What is this winding sound from the engine? (It even increases after the RPM drops)
Power steering pump, I forgot to bleed it properly!
how is the car running now?
Running very nicely, no problems!
i am enjoying your videos about the engine
good job brother
17:49 whats the name of this "gray" hose plz
That is the hose for the headlight washer
Finally some decent music 25:50
Love this content on these engines. Please make more
Thanks! More coming once I get everything edited
Hi, Thank you for your video. I can't wait to see part 2.
Nice
Nice build man. Why did you not bore the cylinders and fit new pistons ?
Cylinders and pistons where all good - no need to do that!
Excellent job. I appreciate your way to show the process. Little talk- much to do! Admire your productivity. Your video is the best about M113K rebuild I have found so far.
Łapka wjechała 👍🏻👍🏻 Pozdrawiam 👊🏻👊🏻😃👋🏻👋🏻🇵🇱
Thank you for documenting the process!!
Why did you need to rebuild it if the M113 is bullet proof ?! 😊
I was doing an engine overhaul to replace gaskets. There was a small casting defect in the engine block that had collected sand between the upper oil pan and block. When I removed the oilpan with engine upside down, all debris fell into the engine. Didn’t want to take any chances so I disassembled the engine completely.
Turkey. Many greetings from Istanbul.Bravo.It was like clockwork ❤
Hats off to you sir!
Amazing. I salute you!
Is a 2005 CLS55 AMG really that reliable compared to the less powerful 2008 CLS550? I mean it has driven 3 years longer, and probably abused way more over the years. I really like to know what you would say, to me it just doesn't make sense that a the 3 year older, more powerful version, also comes with cheaper maintenance and better reliability.
Well, a good question. Now, I don't have experience of the M273, but I am just about to rebuild a M272, which is of the same engine family. Really, I don't think there is much difference in reliability to one ore another. They are very similar engines in many aspects. Biggest difference being 3 vs 4 valve heads, but that doesn't affect reliability. Both blocks share same alusil-coated cylinders etc. 2-row timing chains. Structure is quite similar anyhow. So I can't say what is more or less reliable, both are reliable but there can be problems with any engine. I'd say that maintenance and inspecting the engine health is the key.
I recently did my m112 the problem I'm getting now is its cranking but no start I re checked my timming 4 times it's correct but crank no start wht could be wrong
I’d love to pay you for this work my e55 supposedly needs a new engine but I doubt that’s the issue 😢
Nice build .👍🏽🤤doing mine now and its a grate project.
Hi mate! How is the car? WhT do you think about the 76k miles engine which was in the workshop for 2 years and get some dirty in the engine. Half of the spark plugs was missing. Also about the engine and fit the new rings. Doesn’t do any damage on the long run the new rings?(original)
Hi! car is good, hasn't had any major issues. Some small things still needs to be taken care of once spring comes. New piston rings need to be driven in but they don't do any actual harm to the engine. I did the old rings since I had the engine completely disassembled anyways.
An engine like this with spark plugs missing: In the bare minimum I'd definitely take the heads off, inspect and do a thorough clean, oilpan and main seals while at it!
🙏🙏🙏 Please come rebuild my 55? I would rebuild it myself but a jurastic event alter my life. Growing up I've always wanted a MB Amg. I got to purchased not only my first MB, but Amg ('06 cls55 amg), I was 26yrs old, so my 55 is very sentimental to me, thus why my 55 been garaged for 10ys. I'm 47 now. Since then I've been searching and unsuccessful in finding/trusting anyone, especially around my area to rebuild my 55. I'm hoping you wouldn't mind taking on my sentimental value project?
Thanks for the trust! Maybe a used engine could be a better solution in your case? You could also spare your current engine for the future.
I had thought of replacing my motor, but when as I'm searching for one many of the M113K had 100k plus miles. My M113K is under 80k miles (67k miles). This is one reason why I don't wish to replace it, and second... when I mentioned rebuild I meant I'm looking to replacing/upgrading the piston heads, piston rods, rod bearings, coolant, camshaft, pulleys, injectors, etc... all eternal/external components with aftermarket racing components., custom forged heads, rods, camshaft, etc... I'm wanting to give my CLS 800 HP at tge low end, and at the high end, 1000 HP. Coming across your video convinced me that I much reach out to you, Hoping (🙏 🙏 🙏) you would like to make this happen for me. Turning my CLS 55 coupé into the very first Supercar Coupé or is it the first Sedan 😁🤷♂️.
Engine and body harness are separate correct? Is the SBC system on engine or body harness?
Yes they are separate. SBC system is on the body.
@@internalcombustion1416 I may be able to use the system somehow after this LS swap. Although I won’t have a screen to connect to to see the faults besides a reader. Lol this is going to get complicated.
I really enjoyed your work! A good job well done.
Thank you job well done great vid love it
What year is that car and it looks very clean 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Thanks! It is a 2006 model. It is very clean, Mystic Designo White paint with Piano black interior.
How much did u bolt the head bolts to ?
I used 30-60-90ft/lbs
Hi I am doing the same and have the same issue as you with no rod bearings and still no bearing available. So is the engine still going good ? Way am asking is that I thinking of getting the bearing fore the 55 with out the Kompressor as you did on one rod I will have to do it on all 8 it’s ther fore I am asking if that one you mount still going 😀 Thanks Mats Sweden
Hej Mats! Engine is excellent, no problems whatsoever. You can definitely use the M113 NA bearings. But VRP Speed has now come up with bearings especially for the M113k engine: www.vrpspeed.com/product/vrpp-race-con-rod-bearings/ I would have probably bought these if they would've been available when I had my engine open. Hälsningar från Finland 👋
Hi 👋 and Thanks fore the post I have a standing order at VRP since middle of June and yesterday it still pending of delivery so now I can’t wait any longer So ether I re fit my old bearing and put lower part of bearing shell on top and top on lover side or by the one with the hole in Tanks again fore your answer Mats
I have to remove my m113 engine from w163 ml500 for head gasket job . I will document it on my channel also do some other things like timing chain kit & timing cover refresh kit hopefully the con rod bearings are fine from the milkshake oil .
