Small percentage gains though. It would take forever to charge like that. Not a bad option if you're on vacation and can camp out until recharged, but I would guess a large battery like that might take a day or more to charge fully.
Oh my......so, how do you improve on this?!? 🙂
Infinite range! If you have a spare week to set aside for charging, lol, you tube!
Amazing machine.
Walmart Ebikes have more power than this. 1700 watts is comical at best! My Boxxbike has 14k watts of power see how pathetic this actually is smfh
750 watts that makes me lol literally
two batteries makes it to heavy. The R22 is perfect at 70 lbs. 90 lbs is too much. 180 miles is plenty ull never need more than that 99% of the time.
Start by adding more power 2700 watts of power is laughable
Has about as much power as ur local Ebike at Walmart smfh. IDN why this dude seems to think 2500 wtts of power is a lot. Its NOT! The Boxxbike has 14k watts of power and cost $12k not $18k smfh. What a joke!
How annoyingly loud smh
Bro, those stickers look so fucking CHEESY...... How do u not see that? They look horrible like a walmart bought bike smfh
When do u design a bike that actually has some POWER! Bro 2700 watts of power is pathetic! My Boxxbike has 14k watts of power see how lame ur bike is? Bro, cmon is that best u can do for stickers? They look like u printed them out of ur home computer and slapped them on. They look TERRIBLE. Looks like a bike id buy at Walmart smfh. For christs sake put some creative stickers on the dam bike vs. OPTIBIKE omg that looks so dumb bro I dont even have words for it! U make the absolute WORST videos for ur product. there isnt ONE video on youtube that demonstrates what the bike can do. I never seen ONE video of anyone hitting jumps yet u claim its a downhill mountain bike? Really? Based on what? Show me something!
That is the most extreme E Bike I have ever seen!
Thanks for coming out to Outerbike Crested Butte! And for sharing these videos :)
We're having a great time!
Good luck there. So much going on with Ebikes. Thank you for the videos you post to your channel. Great to see what it’s like here.
This is the funniest video i have ever seen 😅😂 Dude is purposly acting like the bike wont make it staying un a higher gear and acting like it bogged down and stopped my 4 or 5 year old 750W hub ADDMOTOR p7 doesnt bogg down and i can even down shift and help the motor out myself and the thing would climb up a freaking mountain stop throwing urself around on the bike down shift and actually try to ride it lmao its not even subtle either like i thought this was a troll video ar first this is hilarious
When I opened the video: Are you Tired of European spec e bikes???:))). Very funny, weird and sarcastic comment. but I agree. Optibike has Vulcanic prices though, WTF?
In Europe e-bikes can be no more than 250W, stupid I know. But if found using a bike with a higher wattage on public roads/tracks, the police can take the bike.
At least show more realistic results. I managed to climb 30 degrees slope in my lowest gear on a 100 dollars unmaintained bicycle.
IDk, maybe there's a place for these uber high torque and range bicycles, somewhere between a lightweight motorcycle and an ebike I guess? At $19,000 though why would I buy this when I already have a KTM? Just a matter of time before this type of bike is classified in the US, and only usable on motorcycle trails. So at that point just give me the motorcycle and the $250 monthly payment that goes with it.
Question I have a ebike 750w and has spare battery 36v . Can I make trailer that will charge one battery while I use the other . I could just pull over switch batteries .
I'm looking to do the same with my 48v batteries so I'll answer yes!. Just tested my solar panels and it worked really good. I dont trust the MPPT boost controllers (the controller in that vid is really not efficient btw, it keep shuting down then take forever to restart charging) so I went with a normal MPPT. It requires a voltage output from the solar panels higher than the battery so I plugged four 12v panels in series. Its much more expensive than buying 1 solar panel and a MPPT boost controller but under a nice sunny sky it works just like when plugged at home (about 57v chargng outpout and 2A) without the constant and super annoying shutdowns! I had 3 flexible panels and as I heard, they dont last long so I recommend good and rigid panels. The renogy 30W 12v have some nice dimension for a bike trailer (13,5in x 22,5in). They are a bit loud but it seemed like a good bet for longevity, still have to confirm it. 3 of these panels in series and a good MPPT controller (I used a Victron MPPT 100/20) could do the job for your 36v battery but make sure your trailer is long enough to install a 4th panel if you ever change your ebike for a 48v ;)
@@emmanuelbrouillette3907 thanks 😊
I still have the first model produced. 400w center drive, with FOX front and back. Smoothest riding bike I own.
This is all cool until you actually do it unless; 1. You like a short riding day, then sitting around while your bike charges; Or 2. Riding at night and sleeping in the day while your bike charges. Sure you can bring an extra panel and a trailer and even a spare battery but that adds more weight that is going to help you drain your battery faster. Charging the spare while riding is going to be futile. You have to have the panel(s) oriented property, out the the dark forests and it is going to be a sail when it comes to wind. I would love to bikepack with my ebike but seems so far it is just more practical to use a regular bike.
Are u guys ever gonna make a high performance video showing what ur bikes can actually do? Like hitting jumps or going down hill or something. U have one video and a shitty one. No one cares about some dude pulling cart is really fucking stupid! Hire someone to make ur videos cause u guys absolutley suck at it!
We are working on it.
Can I be sponsored?
This so cool; I just wouldn’t want to have to bring the trailer along. But awesome video!
I would bring an ecoflow 500 converter instead , that should get me from town to town .
Not even a color display. They forgot to mention it is made of steel carbon fiber for the weight. I can get one if they sell it for 100 dollars a month for 5 years.
In wich models is this display available? Thank you. Keep the good work
Waayyy to expensive
What fucking bullshit. You want a 100 pound bike then this is it. Awesome 3 horsepower. 😂😂😂
G"day. I live on an 27 ft sailing boat so for the better part of my time is off grid. I have 1, 300 watt solar ray, on the back of my boat charging an 135 amph lithium battery through an 30 amp daul solar controller. Works well for me because the charing rate is higer then the dischraging rate on my electrical output. Gerard.
Been 3 years and solar stations have improved in tech and their prices have dropped so much. It's worth carrying one of those around as buffer. We already got LiFePO4 batteries, now it's time for perovskite panels in the next few years. More efficient, lightweight, compact, more charge cycles, safer to travel with.
Amazing! How can I learn about this setup for an ebike? Any recommendations?
Looks good, well sealed from rain, water crossings? I understand at times it can do 36 mph? Is that still class 1 , how do regulations work for that? Seems perfect for a 4x4 camper, explorer set up.
Nice bike. Too expensive for me.
I think Bosch is the Winner :)
Epic and Thank you. this is a great way to charge and not shlep a heavy battery.
I am glad to see Otpi bike is still evolving. Rode 26 miles on my R22 Everest today, with my friend on my OB1. When riding side by side I discussed the difference in the 13 years between the ebikes. We passed some Chinese ebikes doing 6 to 8 mph. We both went by them fairly quickly. They even went WOW, so even Opti bikes older ebike are still more capable than ebikes made today from over seas.
Looks good .but the fram hmm
How is this a valid comparison . the bosch is a true pedelec , meaning 250 watt motor with 85 Nm . the optimize would be classified as a moped or motorcycles in some areas . it's a stupid comparison
First of all I think this video is manipulated. I have bicycle with bosch CX 75Nm and even almost vertical hill can't stop me. So why in this video bosch CX 85Nm with more torque can't make it?
i agree . It's rubbish . the bosch 85 NM would easily make it .
@@phglub9917 Sure buddy you can climb up walls. I hear what you're saying, something is off (the fact they didn't get out of the saddle for one). I have a 100nm Ramblas C1 MTB, we can climb like goats for sure, but vertical hills? Get real dude.
that much weight on a dh seems kinda pointless
Not when you ride to and mountain and up mountain and ride back home! Instead of taking bike on your vehicle and riding mountain.
@kevincaffrey5293 not if you break it in the mountain, then it's dead wait and you're with yo ass out in the middle of nowhere 😅 better to not leave the car at home 😉
Neat electric motorcycle.
you sound jealous!
bring a generator, problem solved 😂
My dream here in Brazil
Frey best is faster and a 60 v
okay how about charging? i cant find any information on your website or on your youtube videos about the charging speed. i am also curious if i can attach a bicycle trailer with a solar panel and charge the optibike R22ET while i'm riding?

WAY overpriced. Joke bike. I don't care if it has a built-in vagina, $18k for a bike. No fucking way. Ever.
36 volts 250 watts? and low torque numbers. Why are you pretending this is a high-powered ebike?
Jim You made a great Job " inventing " OPTIBIKE. We are proud to have R17 in Turkey .
